Mick Fitzgerald was singled out for his performance as supporting actor in Death's Mailing at the Cyprus Film Festival.

- He received two "Global Music Awards" for his reading of Irish Folk Tales collected by the "Brothers Grimm" on a CD called "The Enchanted Lake" in 2011.
- In 2013 he received the runner up award for "Best Actor" at the Cork "Dare Media Underground Short Film Festival" for the short film "Where the Ships came in". The film itself was nominated for "Best National Film" award at the same Festival.
- The Film "Still Life" in which he starred won the "National Award" for "Best Short" at the "Cork Dare Media Underground Short Film Festival" for 2015.
