Hell Jumper sits on a six-strong Sheffield Doc Fest slate that also features shows commemorating anniversaries of the Hiroshima bomb and the miners’ strike.
Hell Jumper tells the story of Chris Parry and friends, a group of twenty-somethings who headed to Ukraine in a white van and hooked up with a rag-tag bunch of civilian ‘evacuators’ to help people escape their homes. Once there, the group’s missions grew riskier and riskier while they took to TikTok and Instagram to show footage of their daring rescues, with Parry killed trying to save an elderly woman trapped in her home.

U.K. broadcaster Channel 4 has ordered a slate of fast-turnaround factual and current affairs programs about the coronavirus pandemic.
The programs investigate the human stories of those on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the scientists and experts racing to tackle it.
“N.H.S. Heroes” is an hour-long, self-filmed documentary following a small group of frontline staff in the U.K.’s National Health Service as they record their daily lives battling the virus. The documentary is produced by indie Story Films.
The director of acclaimed factual series “Prison,” Paddy Wivell, will spend the next few months in lockdown documenting the impact of the crisis on his own neighbourhood for “Corona Street,” a Five Mile Films-produced documentary that will capture how self-isolation and social distancing is affecting communities.

Channel 4 has launched its latest slate of programmes with a raft of issue-lead titles including Lodgers For Old Codgers, The Surjury and Secret Teacher.

The show will pair lonely pensioners with hard-up millennials and will see surprising friendships form as young people priced out of the housing market move in with an Oap, providing them with companionship and help around the house in exchange for cheaper rent.
