Nancy Norton Bevins is an Indie Feature Producer and Writer.
Bevins celebrates having been on the production team for the Award
winning feature film, "The Artist", working with A-list designers,
directors and actors.
Active in both production and post-production Bevins also writes
screenplays. Her feature script, "Blonde Instinct" garnered five
awards, including UCLA's Top Ten and a Toronto
Festival GOOD-TO-GO award.
Bevins holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Production from
Loyola Marymount University. Her complimentary Bachelor's Degree is in
Business Marketing. She has produced over thirty shorts, promos, narratives,
documentaries and theatrical plays. Many of these she collaborated as the
Producer, Writer, Editor and / or Director.
Nancy has served on the Jury for the Humanitas Awards and has been the Jury Chair for the Gabriel Awards for
three years.
Nancy volunteers her skills and filmmaking abilities by writing,
directing and producing promotional videos for non-profit charities
that serve the disenfranchised, elderly, troubled teens and youth
offenders.
Having a penchant for Southern Fiction, Nancy's early work has been in
literary adaptations with authors, Doris Betts, Allan Gurganus, Lee
Smith and Flannery O'Connor. Future projects include feature length
dramas, southern fiction adaptations and a Flannery O'Connor
adaptation.
