Promo poster for director Jay Woelfel's Live Evil which stars B movie legend's Tim Thomerson (Near Dark, Trancers) and Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead, The Devil's Rejects). As well as modern B movie regulars Lee Perkins and Mark Hengst.
"A hunter dressed in black. This cowboy-hat-wearing samurai-sword-wielding Priest is on a quest for blood. Vampire blood. He's out for revenge on a "clique" of four vampires who are traveling across country in search of "pure blood." The human blood stream has become polluted by drugs, alcohol, Aids, Diabetes, anti-depressants, cigarettes, anything that changes the blood even a small amount makes it undrinkable for Vampires, who, like hi-performance automobiles need "hi test" fuel= Blood in order to survive. This has started a sort of underground civil war between various groups of vampires and vampires themselves have mutated due to the pollution of their life blood."

On a mission to avenge his family, who was slaughtered by a rogue group of vampires in the distant past, The Priest (Tim Thomerson) travels rural regions in search of those who cast misery upon him so early in life. This band of blood suckers isn’t all too difficult to find. Their incessant thirst for blood leads to careless, and quite messy mistakes. Which, in turn leads to The Priest directly to this band of plasma thieves. It all comes down to one man, fire in heart battling a group of undead with a few secrets tucked carefully away. Who knows if God can help this priest out…
Here we deal with an inspired cast who clearly enjoyed themselves while filming the picture. The acting, action and gore are all so extremely far over-the-top, I can’t fathom being a part of this and not enjoying it. Tim Thomerson...

Jay Woelfel's Live Evil has scored a theatrical release of 300 screens across the nation and will start rolling out on September 18th before seeing the light of DVD in early November. This film is particularly notable for Pretty Scary in that it stars not just one, but two Scary Studs of the Month!
Actors Ken Foree (October 2004) and Mark Hengst (July 2008) have both graced the illustrious pages of Pretty Scary, and both men have teamed up to star in the new vampiric thriller Live Evil.
The film, which also stars Elissa Dowling (I like her!) and Tiffany Shepis (her too!), tells the story of vampires having trouble surviving in a world where the blood supply has become polluted by drugs and STDs. Presumably global warming and the soaring costs of health care isn't making them very happy either.
I personally haven't seen the film and so withhold stronger comment,...

I don’t care what anyone says; Megashark vs. Giant Octopus is the best movie ever. Ever. Not only does it star 80’s teen pop sensation Deborah “Debbie” Gibson and rugged greasy heartthrob Lorenzo Lamas, it features Scary Stud of the month Mark Hengst and cutie pie Stephen Blackehart. But not only that – it’s about a giant octopus versus a mega shark. If you understand everything I just wrote I don’t know how you could argue with me...
Take into consideration also that you get to see a giant computer shark jump out of the ocean and catch an airplane in its jaws! Aforementioned shark also bites in half the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco (I hate San Francisco!) The Octopus does stuff too, like destroy submarines and have big eyes.

If The Blair Witch Project hooked up with the Ruins, and had a baby after carrying a dreadful Grudge, you’d find a little Haunted Forest had made it‘s way into the world. I wish I could write something endearing to adhere to that scenario, but I’m having a hard time bringing myself to do it. I wish I could say I was exaggerating a bit, but I can’t do that either. The fact is, this one just isn’t much fun - plain and simple.
When an amateur photographer goes missing in the forest, three friends embark on a mission to uncover the truth about the mans fate, track down an ancient cursed tree, and find a secret burial ground. The setup is absurd considering the fact that these three don’t even know the photographer, are hunting for a haunted tree amongst a forest full...

It's a long holiday weekend at the Lambda Epsilon Zeta sorority house, and a handful of girls stay behind to indulge in three days of partying, sex games and strangely delicious meals prepared by the weird new chef. But as the sisters begin to disappear one-by-one, the remaining coeds The Slut, The Stoner, The Bible Beater, The Dumb Hot Blonde, The Predatory Lesbian, The Tease, The Dominatrix and The Good Girl will find themselves trapped in a nightmare of graphic slaughter, involuntary cannibalism and heaping helpings of gourmet nudity. Mark Hengst, Makinna Ridgway and Kit Paquin star in this bloodspattered black comedy that cuts like a knife, tastes like chicken and serves up a scrumptious feast of carnage courtesy of The Cook.
