Netflix has a knack for getting a lot of very talented people together in movies that seemingly just wouldn't get made at a traditional studio anymore. Case in point, "The Good Nurse" is a movie that features two Oscar winners in the form of Jessica Chastain ("It Chapter Two") and Eddie Redmayne ("The Theory of Everything") front-and-center in a thriller that is based on true events.
As the title implies, they are nurses working at a hospital but, as it turns out, only one of them is good and the other might actually be very bad. For a movie with such a seemingly innocuous title, the body count certainly stacks up in a hurry here. Let's take a gander, shall we?
The Good Nurse Trailer Is Full Of Murder And Intrigue
Things don't take long to get a little twisted as Chastain's character Amy meets up with Redmayne's Charlie at a coffee shop.

Ashton Kutcher is terrific in “Jobs,” but the true stars are the geeks who look like angelic children from another planet: Josh Gad (Steve Wozniack), Lukas Haas, Ron Eldard, Nelson Franklin, Eddie Hassell. They are not famous, but they represent the creative mind at work and at play. They are the intellectual pool from which Steve Jobs got his ideas. And creativity is what this film, directed by Josh Stern and written masterfully by Matt Whiteley, is about. The creative process and how suits can destroy a living creative force like Apple Computer. Watching Steve Jobs (Ashton Kutcher) direct and manage.

When Dermot Mulroney last visited the Sundance Film Festival 13 years ago, he was co-starring in an Alan Rudolph film titled Trixie, opposite Emily Watson and Nick Nolte. “I think it was a little less commercial then,” says Mulroney, who returns to Park City, Utah, next week with a trio of films. One other thing that’s also changed since 2000: the “Park City at Midnight” showcase, which specializes in some truly bizarre, outside-the-box filmmaking. (Think last year’s Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie.) When night falls at Sundance, the cool-crazies come out, and Mulroney arrives this year with a potential doozy.

It looks like John Cusack and Johnny Knoxville will be heading down to Rio de Janeiro early next year to begin filming the comedy Carnaval. According to THR, the two of them have signed on to appear in the Stone Village-produced project that will be helmed by Josh Stern.
Before you dismiss the apparent strange pairing, keep in mind that Mr. Cusack excels in off-beat buddy comedies, and Knoxville has shown some acting prowess beyond being able to withstand getting kicked in the crotch by wild horses.

John Cusack and Johnny Knoxville are two people I would never expect to see listed together, unless it was on a list of People I Would Never Expect to See Listed Together. Nevertheless, the unlikely has become reality, because THR says the pair have both signed on for Carnaval, a new comedy to be directed by Josh Stern. As the title suggests, Carnaval will be set amidst Rio de Janeiro's annual epic festival. Cusack will play a sports agent who is sent to Rio to try and sign an incredibly talented local soccer player. He's got a lot on the line: if he makes the deal, he will inherit the entire agency for which he works. Knoxville will play a friend of Cusack's character who tags along for the ride, then winds up unwittingly boning the soccer star's girlfriend. Shouldn't be a problem, right? What happens in Carnaval, stays in...

As far as paid vacations to Brazil go, you could probably do worse. John Cusack, continuing his run of taking on random projects such as the international comedy "Dictablanda," the period drama "The Paperboy," the serial killer flick "The Frozen Ground" and the upcoming gothic crime pic "The Raven" (which actually looks pretty decent), will team with Jackass member Johnny Knoxville for the laffer "Carnaval." Penned by former agent David Styne and re-written by Josh Stern who will also direct, the story centers on a sports scout (Cusack) who heads to Rio during Carnaval to sign the the world's best…...

When you think of Brazil's world-famous Carnaval, you think of streets crowded with people in fabulous costumes, dancing and partying their tushies off, and dazzling floats full of revelers.
What you maybe don't think of is John Cusack, who's getting his Victorian goth on as Edgar Allen Poe in "The Raven" when he's not Tweeting about politics. That's all about to change with "Carnaval," a comedy starring Cusack and Johnny Knoxville that sounds like it could be awfully naughty.
