Born to Thomas and Patricia Wynacht, his parents were poor farmers in a
rural town outside of Plymouth, Massachusetts. After his father founded
the fledgling Portside Personal Computers in late 1979, the family
moved to Brant Beach, New Jersey. There, Bryan spent his days on the
southern New Jersey beaches with his brothers Peter Wynacht and David
Wynacht; and sister Elizabeth Wynacht. Troubled by the environmental
damage that seaside living was doing to the coastline, the family moved
inland to Haymarket, Virginia. There, Bryan began filming 8mm movies
with a few other art students and experimented with photography. He
spent his time filming videos of his troubled friends and photographed
their adventures riding skateboards. His family moved away leaving him
to fend for himself at age 17. Avoiding mounting legal troubles, Bryan
moved to Florida a year later. He spent a few years in the US Army
during the Gulf War, serving in the 82nd Airbourne Corp. After a
horrific vehicle accident left him quadriplegic, he was retired by the
US ARMY. He spent months as an inpatient and regained partial use of
his legs. Soon he entered the University of Florida in Gainesville,
Florida and achieved a bachelors degree in psychology. During this time
he spent a few years as a single father raising his young son. While
taking time off after graduation he took a new and inspired interest in
photography and film. After losing a year long court battle for custody
of his son. He started touring with indie rock/punk bands as a tour
photographer. Before long he had achieved a reputation in the
entertainment media world for his work with independent bands and
specializes in rock photography and band portraits to this day. After
several covers on national publications, he teamed up with Jake
Burghart and Mike Lipscomb to start Transition Video Magazine. An
independent video magazine released on DVD covering the latest and
greatest in independent music and art. This is where Bryan's pursuits
are at to this day.
