Netflix’s “Never Have I Ever” Season 4 opens new chapters for all characters, including Vishwakumar matriarch Nirmala (Ranjita Chakravarty) when she marries her new love Len (Jeff Garlin).
Nirmala’s wedding ceremony provides the last scene where everyone — Devi’s family and friends — come together before the show ends. The scene meant a lot to Poorna Jagannathan, who plays Nalini, Nirmala’s daughter-in-law and Devi’s mother.
“I’m just remembering a lot of people wrapped that day so it was very intense, very emotional. Yeah. The wedding scene is very symbolic of the show. It’s something that happened to Mindy’s dad. Mindy’s dad got remarried later in life. It’s something that happened to my mom at 64 and it’s a storyline that is unexpected,...

Season four of Netflix's "Never Have I Ever" may have just dropped but we're already thinking about how we can see Devi and friends again. The Maitreyi Ramakrishnan-led teen dramedy is ending with this final season, as Devi heads off to college after completing her senior year of high school.
Back in 2022, series creator Mindy Kaling was upfront about why she wanted the show to conclude with four seasons. "I'm old-school, so I come from 'The Office,' where that show went on for nine seasons, and '[The] Mindy Project' went on for six seasons, but those were shows that weren't about high school," she told Popsugar at the time. "In the beginning, I thought, 'Oh, I could do this show forever and ever,' but then you see these kids and it's scary how old they look by the end of the season. Then you wait a year to shoot again,...

Devi Vishwakumar isn’t ready to say goodbye, and neither are we.
After losing her virginity to Ben Gross (Jaren Lewinson), Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) is ready for her final year of high school, with eyes on the Princeton prize in the trailer for “Never Have I Ever” Season 4 — the final batch of episodes for the Netflix series, which drop June 8 on the streamer.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the same without her besties Eleanor (Ramona Young) and Fabiola (Lee Rodriquez) by her side as they conquer college applications, prom and graduation.
It looks like some special guest stars will appear in this final season of Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher’s comedy series. Ken Marino can be glimpsed driving the girls to prom in a limo. Michael Cimino (“Love Victor”) has been crowned new king of the hot pocket, and his character Ethan has gotten, well, hotter over the summer.

“Never Have I Ever” is nearing the final installment of its hilarious depiction of adolescent chaos, and showrunner/co-creator Lang Fisher already expects fans will have feelings about how the story ends.
The Netflix comedy series follows Sherman Oaks teen Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) as she juggles high school, grief over losing her father and love interests aplenty between hearthtrob Paxton Hall-Yoshida (Darren Barnet) and academic frenemy Ben Gross (Jaren Lewison).
Fisher tells TheWrap that the show’s final season, set to premiere Thursday, June 8, will see Devi make a clear choice between her two suitors — and not all fans will be happy with the outcome.
“I think there’s gonna be a subset of people who are disappointed because, you know, the love triangle comes to an end and decisions are made,” Fisher said during the NBCU Emmys Kickoff luncheon in Los Angeles Wednesday. “But I hope that we...

Jeff Garlin joins Never Have I Ever after exiting The Goldbergs amidst on-set misconduct allegations
Jeff Garlin is set to join the fourth and final season of Netflix’s teen drama Never Have I Ever, despite exiting The Goldbergs amidst on-set misconduct allegations levelled against him.
Garlin departed the ABC sitcom in 2021 after human resources conducted an internal investigation looking into claims from coworkers that the comedian’s physical and verbal conduct made them uncomfortable.
When word broke of his exit, he denied claims that he was fired, admitting that he had faced annual investigations by Hr during his last three years on the show, which he chalked up to “missed” jokes.
In order to address the 60-year-old actor’s absence, his character, family patriarch Murray Goldberg, was killed off the latest season.
Now, Garlin is set to make his first on-screen appearance since last year in Mindy Kaling’s series, EW has confirmed.

Just over a year ago, “Never Have I Ever” star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan was a total unknown, who landed her big break by booking lead role on a new Netflix YA comedy series after answering a casting call via Twitter from show co-creator Mindy Kaling. When the comedy debuted in April 2020, Ramakrishnan practically became a star overnight.
Netflix reported that 40 million households sampled the first season of the coming-of-age comedy within its first three months of streaming. The show follows Ramakrishnan’s Devi Vishwakumar, an Indian American girl battling battles all of the pitfalls (and pratfalls) of teenage life, including her hilariously desperate attempts to land her first boyfriend, all narrated by tennis great John McEnroe.
Thus, it has been a massive year for Ramakrishnan, going from a young girl who filmed her audition tape at the local library in her hometown of Mississauga, Canada, to posing in front of a...
