As Producer and Director, Peter John Ingles has a rich and diverse experience.
He has developed and directed a multitude of documentaries, dramas, public affairs and sports programs, as well as variety shows. He has worked with production crews both on location and in studio for CBC/Radio-Canada, TVOntario, Antenne 2 (France) and various independent producers. He has traveled extensively throughout Canada and has brought back compelling testimonies and stunning images from Asia, South America, the Middle East and Africa. He has proven over and over again his ability to analyze situations rapidly and perform under pressure.
Peter John Ingles has actively participated in the production of more than 130 hours of documentary programming. His moving hour-long production Les Enfants de la guerre (The Children of War) merited him a prestigious Gémeaux Award. He has also directed drama series such as Mon Meilleur Ennemi and Le Bleu du Ciel.
After directing historical documentaries for series such as Canada, A People's History and Hockey: A People's History he worked as Executive Producer for CBC/Radio-Canada's Cross-Cultural Projects developing programming for television and the web. Love, Hate & Propaganda, 8th Fire, Meltdown, Africa on the Move and The Canadian Dream : The Migrant Road to Canada are only a few of the projects that have merited important awards in Canada and abroad, such as the prestigious New York Festivals International Television and Film Awards.
