Billy the Kid will be back on TV screens very soon.
MGM+ this week that Billy the Kid Season 2 will debut on Sunday, October 15, at 9 p.m. Et/Pt.
There is a little bit of a catch:
Four episodes of the season will air this year, with the final four being held until 2024.
A reason for the decision has not been revealed, but there's a good chance it has something to do with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Our hearts have been stolen by the legendary Old West gunslinger. It’s no surprise to Tom Blyth (above), the captivating newcomer who plays him in this moody, nuanced drama from Vikings creator Michael Hirst. “He was witty, magnetic, read Shakespeare. The history books talk about how people couldn’t help but like him, even when he was doing bad things,” Blyth says. In May 8’s third installment, the teen Billy McCarty takes his first step down an outlaw path. The son of Irish immigrants has faced destitution and death in the family’s move west. Now a new loss brings devastating grief, and a violent showdown with his abusive stepfather (Jamie Beamish), a fraudster and philanderer, leaves Billy the “man of the house.” When his attempt to earn an honest living is thwarted by frontier society corruption, broke Billy lets his poker buddy, older criminal firecracker Jesse Evans (Daniel Webber...

Whilst writing a recap of Netflix’s Bridgerton, it is rather difficult not to assume the voice of Julie Andrews in one’s own mind. She is the voice of Lady Whistledown, after all. And although the true identity of the scandal sheet scribbler isn’t revealed until the eighth and final episode of Season 1, in many ways Andrews’ narration sets the tone for this high-end version of Gossip Girl.
The posh first installment, “Diamond of the First Water,” opens at the start of social season in Regency era London circa 1813. Two families are immediately introduced. There’s the very...

Mike Ahern and Edna Loughman direct and write (with additional writing from Demian Fox and Maeve Higgins) Extra Ordinary, a paranormal-comedy flick starring some pretty well-known names such as Will Forte (Nebraska), Claudia O’Doherty (Trainwreck) and Barry Ward (Jimmy’s Hall). The peculiar synopsis and the cast had me immediately interested.
An Irish movie, Extra Ordinary is, basically, about a quiet-but-kind driving instructor who has the unusual ability to listen to and talk with dead folks, who most of the time are seemingly trying to interact with her and get her help (to the point of constant frustration on her part) but her gift allows her a chance to save a teenage girl who is about to be killed by a maniac failing musician (played...

"This bloody moon better make me bloody rich." Wild Card Distribution has debuted a full-length, official UK trailer for the indie comedy Extra Ordinary, from directors Mike Ahern & Enda Loughman. The film premiered at the SXSW Film Festival this year, but most importantly just won Best Film at the Galway Film Festival in Ireland this weekend. The film is about a sweet, lonely woman in rural Ireland with supernatural abilities, but hates using her "talents" and mostly just stays home. But when a washed up one-hit-wonder rock star makes a pact with the devil, and puts a spell on a local teenager, Rose must overcome her fears and save the day with her own supernatural talents. Maeve Higgins (seen on "Inside Amy Schumer" & "Moone Boy") stars as Rose, joined by Barry Ward, Will Forte, Claudia O'Doherty, Terri Chandler, Jamie Beamish, Emma Coleman, and Risteard Cooper. The reviews are great, it's winning awards,...

Epic Pictures Group has debuted the first teaser trailer for an Irish indie comedy titled Extra Ordinary, which just premiered at the SXSW Film Festival earlier this month. A first feature for the writing-directing duo of Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman, whose prior work has encompassed shorts, music videos, and commercials, “Extra Ordinary” is a kind of tea-cosy “Ghostbusters” that’s consistently funny in a pleasingly off-kilter way. The presence of Will Forte as villain should help this Irish comedy (co-produced with Belgium) find North American berths, and its idiosyncratic appeal will find pockets of cult fandom elsewhere outside the U.K.
Comedienne Maeve Higgins brings a distinctive frank-yet-flaky personality not far from her standup work to heroine Rose Dooley, a wallflowerish 30-something who makes her small-town living as a driving instructor.
