Rockstar Games has undergone a vast amount of criticism, lawsuits, and overall backlash from the games they have released. Since their 1997 series starter of Grand Theft Auto to the announcement of their 2013 release Grand Theft Auto V, there have been countless articles, speeches, lawsuits, and bans fighting back against the company as well as their publishers. The argument is always the same.
Rockstar is corrupting innocent minors.
The fact of the matter is, Rockstar is – if anything – helping people. Not just minors, but every gamer who partakes in an hour or two of slaughtering police forces and abducting hookers.
As What Culture’s Stuart Bedfort points out in his article about 10 features of Grand Theft Auto that caused major controversy, Grand Theft Auto is, has been, and always will be rated for a mature clientele. They make this clear not only by labeling the game cases, but even their game-specific...

The Expendables 2 was without a doubt the biggest action star line up of all time. Of course that doesn’t mean it will be the greatest action movie of all time but there is a certain amount of anticipation this time around. Yes, half the cast could quite easily be breaking hips instead of breaking necks, but the film is the only time we’ll ever see Chuck Norris in the same movie as Van Damme, Arnie, Jet Li, Stallone and Bruce Willis.
To celebrate the reunion of Chuck Norris and an assault rifle earlier this year, What Culture has compiled the ultimate list of action movies. A list so expansive that you will no doubt bitch and moan at every turn. A list that ironically doesn’t feature The Expendables but does feature almost every guy in The Expendables 2.

So now we know. Grand Theft Auto V will return players to the mean streets of Los Santos, San Andreas, in a modern day setting and with the usual gangster flavour to proceedings. It’s been a big day for the gaming world, with expectations that V will out-perform the biggest releases of this year easily, breaking sales records on the way to becoming the biggest seller of all time, and with the trailer officially unveiling this latest sequel, we’re on the road to something big.
And now we’ve had a chance to regroup, and to gather our wits about us, here are the collected responses of some of WhatCulture’s gaming team to today’s announcement trailer…

Anybody else get those slight Godfather III feelings? There aren’t any concrete plot details yet,...

Here at What Culture!, we’ve got a lot of love for Tucker & Dale vs. Evil – our man Shaun Munro called it a “well-acted, subversive horror-comedy” and Stuart Bedford chimed in with a Blu-ray review, calling the film “a superior take on horror comedy, twisting convention and iconography into all shapes of awesome” that delivers “heaps of gory pay-offs for the horror fans to enthuse over.” Not too shabby for a film about two hillbillies mistaken for murderous maniacs by a group of dim-bulb teens.
Now, in a recent interview with What Culture!, director Eli Craig revealed forthcoming plans for the next Tucker & Dale adventure – depending of course on whether the film can turn a profit:
“It’s hard to tell how well it’s done yet on VOD (Video-on-Demand) but it’s doing pretty well,” Craig said, “and if it does a little bit better in theaters then I...
