- Has framed in his office the autograph of the first person who ever asked for his autograph.
- His high school guidance counselor advised him to be a Gravedigger.
- He always salutes the graves in a military cemetery when he drives by.
- When he was 7 years old, his sister Debbie took him to see the movie Jaws (1975). To this day, he is terrified of sharks.
- Broke his foot on the TV show JAG (1995) playing stickball in an airplane hanger during a lunch break. Two days later, he flew to Wakayama, Japan to perform in a live stunt show for Universal Studios. While riding a moped to the amphitheater at Porto Europa, a Japanese giant hornet got caught in the sleeve of his sweatshirt that was wrapped around his waist and repeatedly stung his right knee, which swelled up to the size of a melon. Next he hurt his back falling down a flight of stairs after slipping on wet tile during a rainstorm. To top things off, his forehead was gashed open by a battle axe during rehearsals for the Viking Adventure show. All these injuries happened within the course of 2 weeks and were non-stunt related.
- Puts syrup on pizza.
- Likes treasure hunting at thrift stores, garage sales, swap meets and antique shops.
- Received the "Mr. Hustle" award when his 8th grade basketball team won the CYO City Championship.
- Is allergic to morphine.
- Was born 3 months premature.
- Got into the "300 lb. Bench Press Club" and was the youngest and lightest weight person ever to do so.
- Still has the stuffed animal his parents gave him when he was a baby, a little dog named Barney.
- While playing football, his ankle was broken in 3 places. If the third break was a ¼ inch lower, his ankle would have been non-repairable and his right foot would have been amputated. He underwent a 9-hour surgery and still has a pin in the ankle.
- He has Polish, Irish and German ancestry.
- Hates the phrase "Break A Leg!" - prefers instead: "Don't Suck!".
- Put on 40 lbs. to play the lead role of "Lights Out" Lance Dixon in the film Lights Out (2006), for which he won the BEST ACTOR award at the Action on Film International Film Festival.
- Performed in 2 plays at the same time, in 2 different counties, playing Lawyers in both. He played a successful New York Lawyer in All My Sons in Orange County, then as soon as the curtain fell, he'd jump in his car and drive 90 miles to Los Angeles to play a sleazy southern Lawyer in Holy Ghosts a mere 2 hours later.
- His close friend, mentor and acting coach is Ken Lerner.
- While filming the "Knock Out Scene" in the film Lights Out (2006), he got a concussion from repeatedly hitting his head on the canvas of the boxing ring.
- Loves vintage trucks that have never been refurbished and have original chipped paint, rust spots, dents, missing parts, blemished interiors, cracked windows etc. - Reminders of all the adventures they've had over the years and the stories they could tell.
- Has plans to open an Equine Therapy Ranch for at risk youth; kids who are cancer, rape and abuse survivors; in recovery for drug and alcohol abuse; and have mental health concerns like depression, anxiety, pain management and PTSD.
- Was a Webelo in the Cub Scouts. The pinewood derby car he made with his pop in the fourth grade, is proudly displayed on his pop's desk in his office.
- Knew he wanted to be an Actor/Stuntman when he was 12 years old after seeing the Wild, Wild, Wild West Stunt Show at Universal Studios.
- Moved to Los Angeles in 1995 with less than $50.00 to his name. He was homeless and lived out of an old railroad car surviving on canned tuna, Pop-Tarts and bottled water; while reading and writing scripts by candlelight.
- Twenty minutes after throwing away the audition material for Of Mice And Men, he got a call from the director to replace the lead role of Lennie a month into rehearsals. He was recovering from having 3 impacted wisdom teeth pulled and yet learned the entire show during Tech Week. He opened to a standing ovation and rave reviews, which lead to being represented by his first LA agent.
- Got 1st place in his 6th grade science fair.
- After performing in Of Mice and Men, he was recognized on the street by an elderly woman who came up to him and said; "You were great, you made me cry!".
- Had 2 surgeries on his left knee after being spiked with metal cleats while playing catcher in a baseball game. The injury occurred during a play at the plate in an All-Star Game. His knee was shattered, but the runner was out.
- Just so he could ride horses in Kanab, Utah where The Lone Ranger (1949), Gunsmoke (1955) and The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) were filmed; he performed the lead role in the film The Mustachioed Bandit Meets His End (2007).
- Played football for highly acclaimed Moeller High School.
- Was too afraid to audition for West Side Story his senior year of high school, which is his favorite musical. Twenty-six years later he read for the role of Schrank for the Broadway Tour, but couldn't accept the role at the time due to a scheduling conflict with a film shoot.
- Relaxes by jumping rope and chopping firewood.
