Misha Bouvion
- Actress
Misha begrudgingly joined SoCal's community theatre production of Snow White as a child to help her overcome her fear of speaking because of a childhood speech impediment. She eventually learned how to pronounce Rs and Ss, but she never stopped loving being on stage. She graduated from a high school of the arts, received a BFA (Chapman University) and MFA (New School for Drama) in Acting.
She had early success in classical theatre - and has been in 15 Equity Shakespeare productions. Favorite credits include Othello (A Noise Within), Tartuffe (Theatricum Botanicum) and Venus & Adonis (Prague Shakespeare Co.) Her one woman production of Shakespeare's love poem Venus & Adonis has been produced Off-Broadway by Urban Stages, and LA's Independent Shakespeare Company.
Misha's graduate studies allowed her to focus on new work and devised theatre. There she learned the great joy and responsibility of originating a role in a new piece; a passion she was able to explore further after graduation at The Ojai Playwrights Festival, New York Stage & Film, and The Orchard Project.
Now she's bringing all that great training, stage experience, and life experience to her TV & film work, most recently playing Anita opposite Julian McMahon & Kellan Lutz on CBS's FBI: Most Wanted.
Whether on stage or screen, Misha's work is known for being grounded, gritty, and emotionally raw. She is most often compared to Merrit Wever and Kathryn Hahn.
Misha splits her time between NY and LA.
