Patrick Wright is a talented film producer and editor who has worked on several award-winning documentaries. He co-produced and served as an associate editor for "Music By Prudence," which won the 2010 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short and was broadcasted on HBO. He also edited "CREEM: America's Only Rock'n'Roll Magazine," which tells the story of the magazine's rise from a Detroit underground paper to a national sensation during the upheaval of the '70s. "Boy Howdy," the documentary he produced, premiered at SXSW. Wright also edited "See You Soon Again," a feature documentary about Holocaust survivor Leo Bretholz, and was an Associate Producer on "12 O'Clock Boys." He edited "Oyler: One School, One Year," a feature documentary that profiles a high school in a traditionally urban Appalachian neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio. Additionally, Wright has produced and directed films on HIV/AIDS, clergy sexual abuse, and a profile of Ann Coulter.
Patrick Wright is a Professor Emeritus of the Maryland Institute College of Art where he taught for 27 years. He was Co-Director of the Johns Hopkins University/ Maryland Institute College Film Centre and founding Director of the MFA in Filmmaking at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore.
