Directors Adil El Arbi and Billal Farrah are returning to the streets of Brussels for their newest feature.
Titled Black, the film now has a festival trailer. This is the second feature from the directorial duo, both of whom also worked on the screenplay alongside Nele Meirhaeghe and Hans Herbots, adapting it from Dirk Bracke’s Black/Black. Martha Canga Antonio and Aboubakr Bensaihi take on the lead roles, with a supporting cast that includes Emmanuel Tahon, Simon Frey, and Axel Massudi.
The film’s synopsis is as follows.
A 15-year-old girl in a black gang in Brussels must choose between loyalty and love when she falls for a Moroccan boy from a rival gang.

A total of 34 film projects have received funding totaling €8.5m ($11.4m) from the budget of the new Netherlands Film Production Incentive.
It is anticipated that these projects will generate €47.9m ($64.6m) in Netherlands-based production expenditure.
Some 21 of the 34 successful applicants were international co-productions of feature films and documentaries, in which a Dutch producer has a majority or minority stake.
Productions include The Night Of A Thousand Hours by screenwriter/director Virgil Widrich, a co-production between Austria (Amour Fou Vienna), Luxembourg (Amour Fou Luxembourg) and The Netherlands (KeyFilm); The Lobster by director/screenwriter Yorgos Lanthimos, a co-production between Ireland (Element Pictures), France (Haut et Court), Greece (Faliro House), UK (Scarlet Films) and The Netherlands (Lemming Film); and...

Vaf production support to five features and two co-productions.
Five features by young filmmakers and two Flemish minority co-productions are among projects to receive production support from the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (Vaf).
The projects include first-time directors and the new Dardenne brothers film starring Marion Cotillard.
Total production, script and development support in its latest round of funding comes to €2.8m ($3.8m).
