Nothing More have dropped off an upcoming tour supporting Godsmack and Staind in light of an alleged domestic incident involving frontman Jonny Hawkins.
Per a police report that was first uncovered on Reddit, surveillance footage captured an apparent argument between Hawkins and his then partner, Kristin Gordon, in December 2021. According to the report, the video shows Gordon being violently ejected from Hawkins’ parked truck before being run over by one of the rear wheels.
The report indicated that Gordon was hospitalized with a “collapsed lung, broken spinal bones, and severe road rash.” Despite the harrowing incident, the couple apparently remained together until a recent breakup, upon which she went public regarding the incident, posting photos of her injuries.
Hawkins was initially charged with “hit and run driving causing death or serious injury” and “vehicular negligent injuring,” according to a case report, and was released on $10,000 bond on March 11th of...

The 2023 edition of Welcome to Rockville took place over four days from Thursday (May 18th) to Sunday (May 21st) in Daytona Beach, Florida. The massive rock fest was led by headliners Tool, Pantera, Slipknot, and Avenged Sevenfold, while also featuring dozens more notable acts.
The festival closed out on Sunday with Tool’s first show of the year. The performance was particularly notable in that singer Maynard James Keenan dressed in drag just days after Governor Ron DeSantis signed a new anti-drag bill into law. As for the music, the band played a brief 10-song set that included classics like “Forty Six & 2” and “Stinkfist” alongside newer tracks like “Fear Inoculum” and “Invincible.”
Elsewhere on Sunday, Incubus paused their set for a moment to help a distressed fan. The band performed with new touring bassist Nicole Row, filling in for Ben Kenney after he underwent surgery for a brain tumor. Other highlights included sets from Deftones,...

Earlier this year, Godsmack drummer Shannon Larkin mentioned during a podcast that frontman Sully Erna once dated Lady Gaga. In a new interview, the rock singer confirmed he did have a brief relationship with the pop superstar, saying he “shared some great moments with her.”
Larkin’s revelation was a surprise to many, as Erna’s relationship with Gaga had not really been publicized. “I don’t think Sully would bum out if people knew he dated Lady Gaga,” Larkin said during his appearance on the 2020’d podcast. “I mean, she’s hot, and she’s mega talented.”
In a new interview with Revolver, Erna was asked about the Godsmack song “Under Your Scars,” which apparently was inspired by Erna’s relationship with Gaga, as well as Larkin’s recent comments.
“Listen, I really don’t have a lot to say on this topic,” responded Erna. “What I will tell...

Rock bands had a hard time breaking through in 2010, but our critics say new indie groups might be nirvana for the genre.

There was a time not long ago when good-old fashioned meat-and-potatoes rockers like Nickelback, Hinder and Disturbed frequently landed albums in the top 10 and reeled off solid chart singles. Then came a new generation of bands like Mgmt, Vampire Weekend and Arcade Fire who were heralded as the saviors of a limping-along genre that had been overtaken by pop cuties like Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.
"In 2010, we just didn't see the people like the MGMTs, who potentially could have taken over the top from being a great niche artist to being a pop sensation [take off]," said Noah Callahan-Bever, editor in chief of Complex magazine, addressing the psychedelic duo's confounding, sometimes confusing second album,...

Jay Leno might have fended off Team Coco to win the late night war on NBC, but along with Conan O’Brien—and, many would argue, America—the loser of this battle was music. Last night, just before Craig Ferguson’s Late Late Show on CBS hosted Wilco, Leno welcomed the members of Limp Bizkit onto his Tonight Show stage. Last week, the musical guests included Michael Bolton and Godsmack. The week before that featured Creed....

Happy Cinco de Mayo! A relatively minor holiday in its home country, Cinco de Mayo has gained new life in the Us as beer and liquor companies have picked up on the fact that it's very easy to trick gringos into drinking specific beverages for holidays we know absolutely nothing about. Fun facts about Cinco de Mayo: It is not Mexico's independence day, that is celebrated on September 16th, a day that most Americans do not associate with tequila or Coronas because it doesn't have a snappy name suitable for drunkenly yelling in bars. However, I've got a better reason for celebrating tonight: it's the 21st birthday of newest Pajiba correspondent, Adam Lyon. So wish him a happy birthday if you haven't already and, buddy, I owe you a drink whenever I see you. Here's Wednesday night's TV:

I got a package today and of course my immediate concern is not actually what I ordered. That was something totally mundane yet necessary that isn't really fun at all (rosin for my bass bow) but it came in bubble wrap and now I won't be productive for the whole rest of the day. Just now as I was reading over tonight's listings and thinking about what to write I had picked it up and had started at a corner and was popping down and outwards. Then I hit a few of those little bubbles that don't pop with a satisfying "snap!" noise but just kind of piffle out and it made me sad. Anyway, it led me to think that some group on my campus should sponsor a study break where they just buy a giant roll of bubble wrap, the kind with big super fat bubbles, and unroll...

Over the weekend at Ufc 100, former professional wrestler Brock Lesnar established himself as the most dominant heavyweight Mma fighter in the world, delivering a pounding to top contender Frank Mir. Lesnar has only had five fights in his career, but he's a freak who seemingly can't be beaten.
Enter Shane Carwin, a man nicknamed "The Colossus From Colorado" who will become the next in line to fight Lesnar should he beat Cain Velasquez in October. Carwin is also a beast who may have faster hands and a better reach than Lesnar. But he has one thing working against him: His music.
Brock Lesnar made his Ufc debut using Mötley Crüe's "Shout at the Devil" but has since adopted Metallica's "Enter Sandman." It's a little cliché, sure, but it's also exceptionally badass (especially in a sport where "putting people to sleep" is the main goal). On the other hand, Carwin...
