Rock band Train becomes the latest musical group to launch their own wine line. Their first product is the "Drops of Jupiter" 2009 Petit Syrah, made as a collaboration with Concannon Vineyard. Their company is called the "Save Me San Francisco Wine Co."
"My name is Jimmy Stafford. I'm in the band Train and I happen to like wine. I don't have a particular favorite wine, but I'll never turn down a great Petite Sirah. That is why we created this fruit-forward, instantly lovable red. The minute you uncork the bottle, the boysenberry fruit leaps from your glass. With soft, supple tannins, this wine is great with food or without. And I like it at cellar temperatures to allow the flavors to evolve in the glass," the band's guitarist wrote.
A portion of the wine's sales will benefit Family House, an organization that provides temporary housing for seriously ill children. ...

Had you asked me to come up with a product based on Train’s 2001 smash “Drops of Jupiter,” I likely would have said shampoo. You know, to go in your “haaa-aaaa-iiir.”
But, as it turns out, the members of Train — in addition to writing some seriously baffling, yet undeniably huge hit songs (I still demand an explanation for “Hey, Soul Sister”!) — are something of wine enthusiasts who have launched their own wine club. (I had no idea either, PopWatchers, or believe me I would have joined out of sheer curiosity long ago.) And now, they have just announced they are...

Four year ago, Train had run off the rails. The band was on an extended hiatus of undetermined length, possibly forever. But during that break, the three key members, Pat Monahan, Jimmy Stafford and Scott Underwood, began to miss each other, and, moreso, the music they created together. They switched management companies, changed up some other key behind-the-scenes personnel, but, more importantly, altered their attitude and focused on the pluses of being together, rather than the minuses. The result? Not just a comeback single, but “Hey Soul Sister” is the top-selling tune of the year for iTunes. That means it sold more...

A Fox All Access interview with Train is like a “Forrest Gump” cliche: You never know what you’re gonna get. In this case, a little singing and a lot of laughs, as Pat Monahan proves he can channel Van Halen, Jimmy Stafford talks about watching bad Train karaoke in a bar, and Scott Underwood invites Fox All Access host Chris Leary to “climb the band ladder.” All that, plus a rainy night in Kansas City and Halloween in Switzerland! If you’re a Train fan — or if you like to witness train wrecks — this one’s a must-see. Train’s album, “Save Me San Francisco,” is available now.

Train's music video which is directed by Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz has made its way out. It follows the band taking "a much needed break" after years of touring. Aimed to support their single "If It's Love", the video features "some footage of how they spent their time."
It is narrated that during their hiatus, Jimmy Stafford tried new and inventive ways to raise money, Scott Underwood pursued a songwriting career and frontman Pat Monahan lingered in his room, watching his favorite TV show, 2002 Grammy Awards when they received Golden Gramophone for Best Rock Song. Moreover, they spent time together to make some TV appearances.
On the concept of the video, Pete previously told MTV, "It's based off videos like [Michael Jackson's] 'Leave Me Alone,' or 'The Real Slim Shady' ... it's a bit of a parody, you'll see Pat and the guys parodying themselves a bit. That's what I've always found from [Fall Out Boy's] videos.
