This week on Apple TV+’s Hijack, Sam investigated a passenger’s disarming theory about the hijackers, while those on the ground started to take the airborne crisis seriously — and even round up some suspects.
The bulk of Episode 3’s drama was set in motion by Yussuf, the man seated behind Sam. Though Yussuf’s wife tried to hush him, Sam and Hugo (his redhead neighbor) learned that Yussuf suspects the hijackers’ guns are “fake” — meaning, loaded with blanks — based on his 30 years of experience with the Egyptian military.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for all of Manifest.] “I’m so curious to see, because with Lost, it was so all over the place. Well, everyone hates it. So I’m hoping that we have some people who love our show and how it ends,” Melissa Roxburgh says of fans’ reactions to the end of Manifest. We can’t help but think of the Lost finale with how the NBC-turned-Netflix series signed off with the arrival of the Death Date: Flight 828, after the passengers boarded the plane, faced their judgments, and stopped the apocalypse, landed as it should have in New York on April 7, 2013. Michaela (Roxburgh) gave Jared (J.R. Ramirez) he’d been waiting for (along with the ring), and though he didn’t know it, pointed him in Drea’s (Ellen Tamaki) direction. Then, remembering Zeke (Matt Long) was still alive and at the airport, she ran out to ...

Ben (Josh Dallas) has a very brief calling and sees blood covering his hands and Bill Daly staring back at him in the mirror.
Jared (J.R. Ramirez) and Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) have an awkward moment discussing their “almost” kiss. Strained moment aside, Jared reveals that a cop spotted Angelina in Missouri. Angelina’s hanging out among unhoused families as Netflix’s Manifest season four episode 12 begins. She’s made friends with a young girl and shows off her scarred hand, explaining it’s so special that God even made it glow just yesterday.
Angelina (Holly Taylor) believes God needs her to prepare for the day of judgment.
Ben’s dad, Steve, helps fix a sink while Cal (Ty Doran) watches. Cal’s sorry Steve had to go back to work to help support them, and he hates that he can’t get a job for fear of being discovered. Steve assures him it’s okay and that he needs to keep being careful.
Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) is having a horrible day, and a visit from Zeke (from the glow) is the only thing that brightens up her mood.

Buckle up, Manifest Fanatics, because we're in for a wild ride to the finish line.
Manifest Season 4 Episode 11 set the wheels in motion for the final descent in an interesting fashion, but it took about half the episode for things to kick into high gear.
Manifest delivers stellar cliffhangers, but damn, I did not expect Captain Daly to resurface so soon -- or ever, to be honest.
In the name of bringing things full circle, "The Final Descent" featured many callbacks to past episodes, making it feel like everything we've witnessed on the series so far will come back into play before we reach the final scene.
Captain Daly's return was undoubtedly a shocker because it highlighted that while Vance and Saanvi may be connected, the government is hiding plenty from them.

The missing-plane drama Manifest has had a hell of a ride. First came the now infamous cancellation by NBC, followed by months of uncertainty over the show’s remaining two seasons and then culminating in a last-minute, 20-episode order from Netflix. The second half of the abbreviated final season will hit the streamer June 2 — right in the middle of the WGA strike that prohibits its prolific writer-showrunner, Jeff Rake, from promoting the series.
Luckily for the show, star Josh Dallas (who plays Flight 828 passenger Ben Stone and will appear at the Atx TV Festival with other castmembers June 1) is picking up the baton. He spoke to THR — while enjoying his time at home in L.A. with his wife, actress Ginnifer Goodwin, and their two young children after five years of production in New York — about Manifest‘s marquee ending and the state of episodic television going forward.

Our favorite 828ers have seen better days, and it's hard not to worry about how their journies will end.
On Thursday, Netflix went public with the official trailer for the second half of Manifest Season 4, and it's a lot to process.
"When we boarded [Flight] 828, we had no idea what a tortured, life-changing journey we were about to embark on," Josh Dallas' Ben Stone says atop the new trailer.
We're then subjected to the complicated perils that come with the mysterious death date.
Angelina is very clearly on one and won't stop until she's achieved what she believes to be her calling.
We already know Angelina was devoted to the cause when she stabbed Grace, indulged in saphire, and gave her best apocalypse pose at the close of the first half of Manifest Season 4.
The Stones and everyone else are trying to comprehend what the end looks like, and I dare...

After being saved from a crash-landing by Netflix just two years ago, “Manifest” has just about reached its final destination. The NBC supernatural drama-turned Netflix original will premiere the back half of its fourth and final season on June 2, the streamer announced Friday. The news was accompanied by a teaser for the final episodes.
Created by Jeff Rake, “Manifest” debuted on NBC in September 2018. The show was a ratings success in its first season, attracting 10.3 million viewers for its pilot episode. The show’s numbers steadily declined across its following two seasons, and NBC pulled the plug on the drama in June 2021.
Although that cancellation would typically be the end of the series’ flight plan, “Manifest” unexpectedly found a new set of wings on Netflix. The streaming giant added all three “Manifest” seasons the same month NBC grounded the drama; the show quickly found an entirely new audience on the streamer,...

Happy death date: Netflix’s “Manifest” Season 4, Part 2 is set to premiere on June 2, nearly eight months after Part 1’s release in November 2022. The supernatural drama series returns with its final 10 episodes that continue the stories of Montego Air Flight 828 passengers who are making the most of their second lease on life.
The first episode of Season 4, Part 2 will premiere at the Atx TV festival in early June, followed by an in-person panel with showrunner Jeff Rake and cast members.
The return of “Manifest” coincides with the show’s infamous “death date,” June 2, which has been a recurring mystery throughout the series. It was first assumed by 828 passengers that June 2, 2024 marked the day they would lose their lives, but this season revealed it to be much more serious than that, with the “death date” marking the end of the world.

This article contains Manifest season 4 spoilers.
Manifest, the canceled NBC series that was given a second chance at life by Netflix just dropped the first 10 episodes of its fourth and final season. Answers to long-held questions have been pouring in, many of which refer to a “divine consciousness” that provides an explanation for the prophetic callings that the characters experience, among other things. To say the fan favorite TV show took viewers on a whirlwind of a trip, hinting towards a final destination, would be an understatement.
As following on from the season three cliffhanger, where Grace Stone (Athena Karkanis) was murdered by fellow 828-passenger Angelina Meyer (Holly Taylor), we enter season four part one with a two-year time jump to find the Stone family still understandably shaken and ridden with grief. Ben (Josh Dallas) has isolated himself as he searches for his daughter Eden who has been kidnapped by Angelina.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Manifest Season 4 Part 1.] “Flight 828, the gift that keeps on giving,” Michaela Stone (Melissa Roxburgh) says at one point in the first half of Manifest‘s final season, and you know what? After watching the jam-packed first 10 episodes, we are thankful for that — and for Netflix’s save — because a lot happens. The 828ers are getting closer and closer to their death date of June 2, 2024 (those who return are back for as long as they were gone) — but that’s not just for them as they learn in Season 4 Part 1. Other key moments: Zeke (Matt Long) sacrifices himself to save Cal (Ty Doran), the government decides to detain all passengers on US soil, and Angelina (Holly Taylor) remains free to wreak (sapphire-tinted) havoc. Read on as the cast breaks down those twists and more and teases what’s ahead in the drama’s final episodes. Building to a Sacrifice Over these 10 episodes,...

Spoiler alert: This article discusses all plot points from the first 10 episodes of Season 4 of “Manifest.”
The first 10 episodes of “Manifest’s” fourth season have now dropped on Netflix, after a labored birth in which the show was rescued by the streamer after NBC canceled it in May 2021.
And naturally, the show’s mysteries deepen. After catching up with the survivors of Flight 828, Variety spoke with “Manifest” creator Jeff Rake, who broke down all of the twists and turns — and gave a preview of the show’s upcoming final 10 episodes.
The last shot in this batch of episodes is so creepy. How would you describe what’s happening with Angelina’s hand fusing with the sapphire?
Angelina [Holly Taylor] has been desperately trying to accumulate power, and whether that’s by teaming up with Cal [Ty Doran] or somehow getting closer to an archangel, whatever that means in her mind...

Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions.
Manifest Season 4 Episode 8 featured some killer twists, chilling encounters, and a big return fans have been waiting all season long for.
We'll start with Angelina. She has more than one life at this stage, and her constantly popping back up is becoming cumbersome.
Her appearance on "Full Upright & Locked Position" was needed to tell the tale of the killers and why they were carrying out these criminal deeds.
Noelle kidnapping Adrian and complaining about what he did to help her daughter confirmed my theory that she's targeting those who helped her daughter.
Say what you will about Adrian, but deep down, he doesn't have a bad bone in his body. He's been confused about his calling in life ever since his return.
He made some not Angelina-sized mistakes, but he thought his actions were necessary.
He helped Angelina when she needed him the most,...

If you’ve ever been aboard an international flight, you know just how crowded those things can get. So naturally, the “Manifest” cast is pretty huge. First released on NBC and now streaming on Netflix, the record-breaking show follows the passengers of a plane that disappears mid-flight and lands five years later without explanation, or anyone on board noticing something was wrong.
But once they land, the Flight 828 passengers find their lives forever changed — and forever connected — through a series of visions dubbed “Callings,” which drive the 828ers to solve crimes, uncover mysteries and continually reunite thanks to the influences of a force they never fully understand.
“Manifest” just returned with the first half of a super-sized 20-episode fourth and final season, and as the series starts to pay off the promise that “it’s all connected,” many of the 828 passengers make their return, along with some new faces — or in Cal’s case,...

Manifest, which is preparing to land for one final season on Netflix after its untimely cancellation by NBC, has been nothing short of a bumpy ride. However, the TV series has captivated viewers with its story of the Montego Airways Flight 828 passengers, who landed in New York City to the shock of a lifetime. They had been missing for five and a half years and presumed dead in which time their loved ones all aged, but they returned completely unchanged.
Throughout three seasons, we’ve watched the passengers struggle to adapt to their new reality, which has changed their relationships with their families, made them garner often-unwanted attention, and put them in difficult and dangerous situations as their return gave them prophetic visions and thoughts known as “Callings.”
But that’s not all, so before things get rolling again, let’s look back at where the show left us…

Fans can expect many exciting story threads to be picked up again with the Season 4 return of Manifest, which was canceled by NBC in June 2021 but rescued by Netflix two months later. One big part of the new season will inevitably be the continuing love triangle between Michaela Stone (Melissa Roxburgh), her husband Zeke (Matt Long) and her former lover Jared (J. R. Ramirez). Where do things stand when we resume the action, with two years having passed in the world of the show? “The last thing we saw of Michaela was Jared telling her that he thought Zeke could be dead,” Roxburgh recounts to our Jim Halterman during their stop at our New York Comic Con press room. “Oops, that did not happen — so then, two-and-a-half years later, Ben (Josh Dallas) is kind of a wreck, and so Michaela’s kind of been tasked with taking his ...

Will the divine nature of the callings ever truly be known? Is there a scientific explanation behind the dark lightning and the time jumps? Is the death date avoidable, or is it even real? We asked the cast members, as fans of their own show, what their favorite long-held mysteries were now that they know what audiences are about to discover.

Ramirez, the actor behind the intrepid police detective Jared Vasquez, the majority of the dramatic tension comes from the looming danger presented by the so called “death date,” a presumed expiration date for all Flight 828 passengers based on the amount of time the airplane leaped forward into the future. “The fact that there’s this looming,...

Manifest may be winding down, but Michaela’s love life remains… complicated.
Season 3 ended with the NYPD cop and her husband Zeke on the verge of a serious conversation about their relationship. In that same finale, Jared admitted to Michaela that he stepped back and watched the “love of his life” marry Zeke because the latter was supposed to die.

“Manifest” Season 4 wasn’t gonna happen — but then came the streaming numbers.
Netflix launched reruns of “Manifest” Seasons 1 and 2 on June 10, 2021; four days later, NBC canceled its “Lost”-like missing-airplane series. On June 24, 2021, Netflix launched its weekly Global Top 10 TV and Film lists. Guess which series claimed two of the Top 5 slots?
Season 1 ranked third on the streamer’s inaugural weekly ranking; “Manifest” Season 2 was fifth. The first season would go on to appear on Netflix’s Top 10 English-language TV series list 18 more times — the only other show to pull that off is a little ditty called “Stranger Things 4.”
“Manifest” was a Top 5 broadcast entertainment series in its first season; beyond prime-time football, only “This Is Us” drew higher Nielsen ratings among adults 18-49 on NBC that year. The following season, it dropped out of the Top 20; Season 3 didn’t make the Top 50. Season 2 appeared eight times on the weekly...

Fans of “Manifest” were treated to the first trailer for the show’s fourth and final season at Netflix’s Tudum event on Saturday. Part 1 of the show’s final season, which consists of 10 episodes, will debut on the streamer on Nov. 4.
The supernatural drama series follows the passengers and crew of a commercial airliner who suddenly reappear after being presumed dead for five and a half years. The show stars Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J. R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, Parveen Kaur, Matt Long and Holly Taylor.
