Carly Benner
- Costume and Wardrobe Department
- Sound Department
- Additional Crew
Although born in San Francisco, Carly's entire childhood was spent in
Los Angeles' West Side and South Bay areas. Reared by her mother and
stepfather, she was exposed to the film industry at an early age given
that her parents worked as location sound mixers and post production
sound professionals. After graduating with an A.A. with honors from
FIDM in LA she went on to receive a B.A. in Marketing and
Communications with a minor in French from California Lutheran
University. Spending much time working in LA's apparel design trade she
decided to move on to the film industry; aiding her family with
location sound work and eventually moving on to set costuming and
assistant costume designing. Carly still resides in Los Angeles near
the beach and between film jobs runs her own business personal
shopping/consulting in addition to creating custom hand-sewn blankets,
drapery and soft goods for the home and stylish pet gear. She also
works as an animal communicator, helping owners and their pets live the
happiest lives together possible. She also juggles work with her many
hobbies. Carly enjoys watching Movies (of course!), English Premier
League Soccer (she's an avid Manchester United supporter), is a 1/3
owner of an amateur/club racing Touring Class Sedan in which she shares
driving and mechanical responsibilities, singing Karaoke whenever
possible, playing with her Arabian Sighthound aka Sloughi named Audrey
(after Ms. Hepburn), collecting Vinyl and CDs of many musical genres
and in addition is currently training as an amateur Ice Hockey player.
However, all of that could go on hold if the right film came along!
Costuming is still her true passion above all.
