The puppets, and their charm it has to be said, may have been replaced by computer-generated characters, but the iconic ships and Tracy Island remain, for the most part, as beautiful standing-set models produced by Weta (The Lord Of The Rings).

“5, 4, 3, 2, 1: Thunderbirds Are Go!”
A remake of the British television show is returning. The original aired on ITV in 1965, featuring Gerry Anderson’s “supermarionation” puppet techniques.
A film version of the series, directed by Jonathan Frakes, hit the big screen in 2004 and was considered a box office flop. Anderson, who died at the age of 83 on December 26, 2012, described the movie as “the biggest load of crap I have ever seen in my life”.
Thunderbirds Are Go! is due to air in the UK in 2015, the 50th anniversary year of the original.
When disaster strikes and there’s no one else to help, International Rescue answers the call! From their secret island base, this family of highly trained responders can reach every corner of the globe – and beyond – in minutes.
With their remarkable cutting edge Thunderbird Vehicles, brothers Scott, Virgil, John, Gordon and Alan Tracy along with head of security Kayo...

Chivas Regal, the original luxury whisky, has announced the launch of a music single in association with Film Aid International.
The track, titled It’s Our Time, is the soundtrack to the Here’s To Real Friends film campaign and has been created by composers Peter Raeburn and BAFTA winner Nick Foster. The song can be downloaded now via iTunes, with 10% of all proceeds going to Film Aid International.
Raeburn provides the vocals for the track, which is a euphoric soul-pop with a catchy melody and puncy piano notes. It was mixed by Mark Rankin, who has recently worked with the likes of Adele and Florence and the Machine.
You can watch the trailer and films for the campaign at http://www.youtube.com/ChivasRegalGlobal and via the embed below.
Chivas Regal started their partnership with Film Aid in 2011 and have since raised over $260,000.
