Matt Dallas from the now defunct hit TV series Kyle Xy turns 28 today! The actor got his start in the indie slasher Camp Slaughter (aka Camp Daze) from director Alex Pucci in which a group of friends find themselves lost and stranded with a broken down car at a camp in the middle of nowhere. However, this is no ordinary camp. It is stuck in a time warp where everyone is forced to relive their death day after day after day. The film had an original premise, took risks, but a big reason this film worked was because of appealing performances from Anika C. McFall and Matt Dallas who were just absolutely engaging presences in this movie.

Anika C. McFall was the final girl of director Alex Pucci's Camp Slaughter. Wow! A strong black female in the leading role. Anika C. McFall brought strength, personality, and a dimensionality to this role. She wasn't just your typical final girl who ran around and screamed. She was so much more. The slashers of yesteryear like Sean S. Cunningham's Friday the 13th or The Burning didn't have the courage or conviction to do that.
