Chainsaw Man Part 2 shifted gears when they started featuring Asa Mitaka, the host of the War Devil, Yoru. The second part follows the Academy saga and focuses mostly on the high school life of Denji, the main character, and his potential love life with Asa Mitaka. However, things are not always as easy as they should be in Chainsaw Man.
Chainsaw Man
The War Devil’s main goal is to find the Chainsaw Devil and take revenge on him. But Asa and Yoru initially do not know that Denji is the Chainsaw Man, and they have some other plans for him. However, Asa develops feelings for Denji but cannot confess them because of Yoru’s ulterior motive of turning Denji into a weapon.
A Chainsaw Man fan found a striking resemblance between the stories of Asa and Denji and Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya from Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. They posted it online,...

Sega has enjoyed a fortunate year as its sales revenue jumped 20 percent, as per its latest financial report ending March 31, 2024. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and Persona 3 Reload were among the major factors in this drive, but Rovio’s acquisition pushed the company’s revenue higher. Both of these games sold over a million copies within a week of their launch.
Apart from games, Sega had a successful journey in the film industry, as it saw Sonic the Hedgehog find its place in the sun. The company desires to expand the reach of its IPs, but before that, it may throw a lot of content from the Like a Dragon and Persona franchises.

A spin-off of the original anime series, Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales, Mononoke is undoubtedly one of the most peculiar original anime series we have on the market. It is an avant-garde series focusing on the supernatural, incorporating elements of mystery and psychological horror, as the series focuses on the unnamed traveling apothecary who is stingy with words. He travels with his medicine cabinet and a box containing a spiritual sword whose pommel is adorned with a monkey’s head, fighting numerous supernatural enemies along the way.
The original anime series ran for 12 series in 2007 but the series is coming back with a feature-length anime movie titled Mononoke: Karakasa, which is going to be released on July 26, 2024 in Japan. Today, a new trailer and a lot of new information has been released, so we are going to report everything to you here.

Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man has become one of the most popular series in the world due to its interesting plot, how it breaks away from the traditions of its genre, and how it effectively blends well-known tropes with original content. And while the anime is currently on a break ahead of the release of Season 2, the manga is ongoing and it seems that the upcoming Chapter 162 is going to shake things up significantly, as a reveal is made about Denji’s secret identity in the series.
If you’re not fully up-to-date with the most recent dealings in the manga, we won’t be spoiling much, but this reveal was so important that we simply had to report about it, as it has the potential to significantly change the course of the story in the upcoming chapters.

After Makima’s death, Chainsaw Man manga went on a hiatus. But later returned with a second part. The fans were excited to see how Denji’s life progressed. He was shown to live with the Control Devil’s reincarnation, Nayuta. He took care of her and fulfilled all her needs. The fans were surprised to see that he had left his Devil Hunting days before.
But there was no peace for him since the War Devil was looking for him, the Chainsaw Devil. Since then, the manga has been going through an interesting phase. The latest Chainsaw Man chapter featured Denji lying on a hospital bed in a horrible state. Even though he wanted to get out, he could not due to the authorities. The chapter also teased the return of an old character that the fans had missed.

We've been waiting a long while for this!
Many diehard fans of this series have been wondering not only why Hank Voight has seemingly taken a backseat throughout the series as of late but also where the old-school Voight went.
Well, Chicago Pd Season 11 Episode 6 is gracing us with a Voight-centric hour, and we might get a peek of the Voight from yesteryear.
Could the no-nonsense, consequences-be-damned version of Voight be making a comeback?
It is possible for this installment.
Love or hate him, Hank Voight is essentially the glue that keeps the Intelligence Unit together and the central character of Chicago Pd.
At least, he's supposed to be. But he's spent much time getting sidelined, which would be all right if this ensemble cast felt cohesive.
Instead, the centrics with installments focusing on singular characters with maybe one or two others supporting them has primarily resulted in a team...

On their way back to the house where his parents lived before the recent death of his mother, Asa (Stephen Cofield Jr) and Leah (Tryphena Wade) pass a blue gate. It’s a very distinctive shade of blue and, whilst it might seem unremarkable to the average person, anyone who has spent time in a Geechee community like this one will recognise that it has been coloured that way in an effort to ward off the boo hag. To Asa – as to Geechee screenwriter J Craig Gordon – this is just part of life. To Leah, it’s the first of many mysteries in a place where she will feel more and more desperately out of her depth.
The Geechee are the descendants of people who were enslaved by white Americans, so there’s a further unsettling moment when the car pulls up outside the house – a plantation house, with all the.

It is the helmer's statement that closes his drama “Bauryna Salu” inspired by his own experience as the 1st born whose life was changed forever due to the old nomadic tradition that the film owns its title to: “My parents gave me away to my grandmother when I was one year old. I grew up with a void and I still carry this feeling inside me'. “Bauryna Salu” – the Kazakh term for the old tradition that started in the times of communal living, but has still continued to be practiced ‘disregarding social status and financial situation of a family' (quote from the title cards) is in focus of the movie which shows a devastating effect such practices have on children who grow up disconnected from their parents.

In 2019, Lizze Broadway was at San Diego Comic-Con when the whispers began. “The Boys are coming. The Boys are coming.” A few minutes later, castmembers including Karl Urban and Jack Quaid walked by, seemingly in slow motion. “For a show I knew nothing about, this moment stuck with me big time,” says Broadway, who plays size-changing student Emma. Four years later, Broadway and her fellow cast were preparing to show off Amazon’s college-set The Boys spinoff, Gen V, at their own Comic-Con panel — a chance to assure the 4,800 or so fans of The Boys who were packed into the convention center that the new series would be just as raunchy and violent as the mother ship. The strike derailed that. But, months later, the Gen V team tells THR how it would have gone down.

It was a moment film nerds could only dream of: Actor/director Joe Lynch was seated next to Quentin Tarantino at an event, and they were going deep on lenses. Specifically, how Tarantino had gotten his mitts on Ultra Panavision 70, a 70mm format from Ben Hur, for his 2015 Western The Hateful Eight. Not much could distract Lynch from a moment like that — until he heard Stuart Gordon, of Re-Animator fame, discussing his latest collaboration with screenwriter Dennis Paoli: a modern-day retelling of H.P. Lovecraft’s story “The Thing at the Doorstep” called Suitable Flesh.

“Suitable Flesh” bears a parting dedication to Stuart Gordon, who passed away in 2020 and is certainly missed, especially after watching this campy concoction, which revisits his beloved H.P. Lovecraft territory minus the late screen genre specialist’s knack for welding grotesque horror content to a black comedy tone.
There are some yuks (and yucks) to be had in his frequent writing collaborator Dennis Paoli’s very loose, gender-reversed riff on the cult fantasist’s lesser-regarded 1933 short story “The Thing on the Doorstep.” But director Joe Lynch haplessly plays much of this supernatural tale as an erotic thriller, the uncertainty of satirical intent leaving his actors looking silly. Releasing to limited theaters and streaming platforms on Oct. 27, it’s a movie best watched after a few libations, which might make more of the laughs play as deliberate.

Plot: A psychiatrist becomes obsessed with one of her young clients with multiple personalities.
Review: There have been few horror films more anticipated this year than Joe Lynch’s Suitable Flesh. The buzz coming out of various festivals has made this sound like a blood-soaked, sex-crazed, good time. Then add Barbara Crampton and writer Dennis Paoli returning to the world of Lovecraftian Horror, and my excitement was off the charts. I loved the setup of the film, using Lovecraft to help bring a new flavor to the possession/body swap formula. There are namedrops like Miskatonic University and even Cthulu, so it casts a wide net for Lovecraft fans.
If you don’t consider yourself up to date on all things H.P. Lovecraft, don’t worry, there’s plenty here to grasp onto. Because whether it’s Freaky or Freaky Friday , the body swap genre has many different approaches to take.

H.P. Lovecraft is easily one of the least sexy writers of all time but that hasn’t stopped director Joe Lynch (Mayhem) from dusting off one of ole grandad’s tentacle-less tales and spinning it into a true-blue Erotic Thriller. Paying homage to the prestige De Palma’s pictures that elevated the genre, and the trashier lesser-known titles that flooded the early 90s, Suitable Flesh is a dreamy, steamy, soft-core vibe full of body-swapping & bonin’ down.
Set in the Miskatonic Universe, this tawdry tale takes a break from the weird gods and even weirder monsters that make up so many of Lovecraft’s other stories. Elizabeth Derby (played by Heather Graham) is a psychiatrist specializing in dissociative identity disorder whose life gets flip-turned upside-down after meeting with a mysterious new patient, named Asa Waite.

When “Re-Animator” director Stuart Gordon died in 2020, he left behind a blood-soaked legacy that includes a handful of giddily exploitative horror classics and a legion of genre filmmakers who grew up in the shadow of his low-budget Lovecraft adaptations.
In that light, it would be hard to imagine a more fitting tribute to Gordon’s work than a goofy-smart and gore-happy wad of immaculate trash about an ancient Entity that inhabits the body of an undersexed psychiatrist played by Heather Graham. Lucky for us, Gordon ensured that we wouldn’t have to; based on the Lovecraft story “The Thing on the Doorstep” and written by Gordon’s longtime collaborator Dennis Paoli, “Suitable Flesh” is one of the last projects the late schlockmeister was developing before his death. And director Joe Lynch’s take on the material is every bit as loving and heretical towards Gordon’s memory as you would expect from a true devotee.

Adapted from a 1937 Hp Lovecraft story, this has some nice stylistic touches, even if the demonic possession, wafting sax and softcore silliness is a bit over the top
There’s some ripe softcore silliness here from veteran horror screenwriter Dennis Paoli and director Joe Lynch, inspired by Hp Lovecraft’s 1937 story, The Thing on the Doorstep. Despite a very game lead performance from Heather Graham, and some amusing 90s-style erotic thriller mannerisms – voile curtains blowing on a hot summer night while a sex scene happens to a wafting sax accompaniment – this left me not knowing quite where to look.

The Israeli show ‘Magpie’, which is a crime drama, is set to be adapted into Hindi. The working title for the same is ‘Kan Khajura’, which means centipede. The original show tells the story of Asa Katz, a man serving 17 years in prison for murder who gets released early on the condition that he cooperates with the police as their informant — a role (known as a magpie) that he also had in jail. Asa returns to his old neighbourhood and his older brother, David, who has little regard for his younger sibling.
Asa constantly tries to resolve this, but numerous conflicting interests put him in precarious situations, and he finds himself torn between his life of crime and his work with the police, while skilfully navigating both worlds to his advantage.

“Joe Lynch is no Stuart Gordon!” That’s what many horror fans (yours truly included) have been shouting to the heavens since it was announced that the Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007) and Mayhem (2017) director was helming the late master of horror and his frequent collaborator Dennis Paoli’s long-unproduced adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s 1933 short story, The Thing On the Doorstep. Famous for their work together on Re-Animator, From Beyond, Castle Freak, and Dagon, finding a suitable fit to bring the project to the screen after decades of false starts and the death of the maestro would seem a fool’s errand, but Barbara Crampton, the actor most associated with Gordon’s body of work, was up to the task. She hand-picked Lynch, and right she was to do so, because, wonder of wonders Suitable Flesh is less suitable than it is superlative: a playful, gleefully horny Lovecraftian thriller...

Sex Education‘s protagonist, Otis Milburn has always been a red flag. Not only in terms of love but in friendship too. Let me explain. The first thing we need to acknowledge is the fact that Otis is played by child actor Asa Butterfield, who has been a megastar ever since his young self played Bruno in 2008 drama film, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. We don’t know if it is just a simple coincidence that Asa looks like an innocent fellow or if he was just the best guy to cast for the role of Otis (although he does a very convincing job). But this makes us especially inclined to like the character, no matter what he does. He’s always the good guy, you know? Plus, what teenager doesn’t make stupid mistakes? Wrong!
Yes, there are some good things about Otis, like his emotional intelligence, but...

“It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye.” How many of us grew up hearing this from parents or babysitters, then reluctantly agreed to be a little more careful? Unfortunately, that’s not an option for a trio of siblings living with their single mother in Salem, Massachusetts. On a night stuck babysitting their younger brother Jo (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth), Billie (Natalia Dyer) and Marcus (Asa Butterfield) find themselves caught up in a deadly game dating back to a shocking incident in the town’s forgotten history. Once the sinister die has been cast, anyone caught up in the horrific festivities must keep playing. The only way out is death– and even that might not break the spell.
All Fun and Games is a terrifying horror film, but the partnership behind it comes from the world of comedy. Writers and directors Ari Costa and Eren Celeboglu first...

Stars: Heather Graham, Barbara Crampton, Johnathon Schaech, Bruce Davison, Drake Malone, Judah Lewis | Written by Dennis Paoli | Directed by Joe Lynch
Directed by FrightFest favourite Joe Lynch, Suitable Flesh is a deliberate homage to the work of director Stuart Gordon (who died in 2020), specifically his adaptations of the stories of H.P. Lovecraft, such as Re-Animator, From Beyond and Castle Freak. Sadly, though it definitely has its moments, the end result is something of a mixed bag.
Set in the Miskatonic University hospital facility (where Re-Animator took place), the film begins with psychiatrist Dr Danielle Upton (longtime Gordon collaborator and all-around horror superstar Barbara Crampton) investigating her disturbed psych ward patient Elizabeth (Heather Graham), also a former psychiatrist. As Elizabeth relates her tale, flashbacks reveal that she became obsessed with handsome young patient Asa Waite (Judah Lewis), who was suffering with paranoid delusions.
However, it soon becomes clear that Asa is something far more sinister,...

The spirit of Stuart Gordon is alive and well in Joe Lynch’s Suitable Flesh. The adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s “The Thing on the Doorstep,” written by Dennis Paoli (Re-Animator, From Beyond, Dagon), and produced by Brian Yuzna and Barbara Crampton, seamlessly inserts itself into Gordon’s Lovecraftian cinematic world from its opening scene set in a hospital that’s instantly evocative of Re-Animator. Lynch captures the humorous, oft-sexy tone of Gordon’s ‘80s/’90s Lovecraftian horror output while putting his own stamp on it through keen instincts and modern storytelling.
Psychiatrist Dr. Elizabeth Derby (Heather Graham) had it all; a doting husband in Edward (Johnathon Schaech), an enduring friendship with colleague Daniella Upton (Crampton), and a successful career. That changed the moment young Asa Waite (Judah Lewis) crashed into her life as a troubled patient suffering from an extreme personality disorder. Or does he? Asa claims that something’s possessed his father,...

Chicago – One of the oddest cases of unknown Illinois history involves the “Watseka Wonder.” In the the 19th Century, the tiny town in the Land of Lincoln drew nationwide attention for a certified case of “spiritual” possession. The Eclectic Full Contact Theatre of Chicago … featuring actor Jill Thiel … chronicles the phenomenon in “The Wonder,” now in its last weekend at the Edge Theatre through May 13th. Click Wonder for more information and tickets.
Written by Maggie Lou Rader and directed by Gaby Labotka, the stage play looks at childhood illness and death by exploring the emotions of two Illinois families who use an allegedly supernatural occurrence as explanation for such a tragedy. The play asks if this belief could ease the grief and offer hope, would you accept it? Inspired by the first reported case of spirit possession in America, the work explores the enigmatic events that somehow keeps the memory of a daughter alive.

If you've missed Alvin Olinsky, then gear up for a touching moment!
It's safe to say that the series hasn't been the same since Al's brutal death in Chicago Pd Season 5 Episode 22. And Voight hasn't been the same since he lost his best friend and partner, primarily due to Voight's actions.
Any reference to characters of the past always warms the heart, and it's no exception when we get a significant one during Chicago Pd Season 10 Episode 13.
How that comes to be is interesting, but first, let's break down some things we know and can speculate about "The Ghost of You."
The hour will focus heavily on the new but underused character, Asa Nina Chapman.
We haven't spent much time with her, but we've learned how much of a force she is when we see her.
It takes someone special to get Voight's attention and have him actively rooting for them to succeed.

Last year, Rolling Stone declared Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems “the future.” Today, as Dazed‘s latest cover star, she shared that her outlook on tomorrow is bigger than her.
“What I’m trying to do,” she said, “or what I hope that God does through me, is for the image of the African woman to be [changed] to something luxurious, or desired, or sought after. For the demand of the African woman to go up… Let us not be chasing foreign things, let us be something to be chased. And that can...

I always imagined that Hayao Miyazaki’s “My Neighbor Totoro” would be the first movie I ever showed my son. But sometime last summer — about 30 minutes into an eight-hour flight, or roughly 29 minutes after his 2-year-old mind grew bored with sitting inside a massive steel tube as it rocketed across the sky at 300 mph — I delegated the honor of choosing Asa’s first movie to the fine people who program Delta’s in-flight entertainment.
The options were rather uninspiring, and even the higher-quality fare seemed like it might fry my kid’s brain. It wasn’t until I neared the end of my A-z search that something jumped out at me as a viable option. Not only was it a great film, but its frequently wordless storytelling also meant that I’d be able to watch along from the next seat without a pair of headphones. But the real deciding...
