Brian Udovich is a producer of film and television. He has a Masters degree from the AFI (American Film
Institute) and is the curator of the screening series REEL GRIT in Los Angeles. His feature films have won awards and premiered at major international festivals like Sundance, Toronto, AFI and SXSW. His AFI thesis film THE MONSTER AND THE PEANUT was awarded the student Emmy for best dramatic film in 2004. He was born in Joliet, Illinois.
Attracted to study at AFI because of the works of AFI alums David Lynch, John McTiernan, Darren Aronofsky, Carl Franklin and John Dahl.
2008 - "The Wackness" named winner of the Audience Award at the Sundance Film
Festival.
2006 - "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane" was sold to The Weinstein Company
after screening during the "Midnight Madness" program at the Toronto
International Film Festival.
2005 - "The Monster and the Peanut" was awarded the Academy of Television
Arts and Science's (Emmy) for best dramatic student film.
2005 - "The Monster and the Peanut" was the recipient of the Alfred P. Sloan foundation grant.
