Sam Higgins is an award-winning cinematographer known for his stunning visual storytelling and ability to capture emotion and atmosphere on camera. Raised in Kent England, Sam developed an early passion for film and photography, and went on to study cinematography & Photography within Her Majesties British Armed Forces Intelligence.
After leaving extensive worldwide operations utilizing different skills including front-line Visual & audio capture, Sam quickly made a name for himself in the Welsh Film industry, working on a variety of independent films, commercials, music videos, TV broadcast, Live sport events & Corporate coverage. His talent and dedication to his craft led him to collaborate with some of the biggest productions, including - James Bond, Sherlock, Doctor Who, Holby City, Stella and Vikings.
Sam's work has been recognized with numerous Local & Welsh awards, including the Iconic Award for R.C.T. His portfolio includes a wide range of genres, from epic action-adventures to intimate character studies, and his signature style is characterized by a strong sense of visual storytelling and attention to detail with a cinematic ability to "dirty the frame" to provide depth & texture.
In addition to his work as a cinematographer, Sam is also a passionate educator and mentor, regularly teaching workshops and master classes on the art of cinematography at film schools and festivals around the world. He took this to another level building two broadcast T.V channels for G4S/Allied in Welsh Prisons whilst teaching prisoners photography & Cinematography for over a year inside U.K prisons.
With a reputation as one of the most talented and versatile cinematographers working today, Sam continues to push the boundaries of visual storytelling and inspire the next generation of filmmakers but is always looking for his next credited masterpiece.
