As J. Cole put a bow on this year’s Dreamville Festival, he worked an apology heard-’round-hip-hop into the introduction to one of his biggest and most sentimental songs, “Love Yourz.” “The past two days have felt terrible,” he said, earnestly admitting he’s lost sleep over “7 Minute Drill,” his nuanced but ill-received jab back at Kendrick Lamar for dissing him and Drake (mostly Drake) on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.”
On stage, Cole explained that “Love Yourz” signified a turning point a decade ago, one where...

Novak Djokovic was recently in action at the United Cup, where he wanted to get some valuable court time ahead of his Australian Open title defense.
With 10 Australian Open titles to his name, Djokovic's thirst for No. 11 could be quenched by the end of the month. However, there have been some interesting developments in the opening week of the season to suggest he could face the sternest examination of his title credentials in Melbourne.
Djokovic picked up a wrist issue while representing Serbia at the United Cup, although he brushed off any serious concerns about the injury potentially impacting his upcoming Australian Open campaign.
Moreover, Djokovic's main competition at the Melbourne Slam could feasibly come in the form of three men who barely struck a ball in the first week of the new tennis season. So, who are they?

The new tennis season is barely a week old, and Novak Djokovic has seen another of his glorious streaks come to a juddering halt.
Djokovic and Serbia debuted at the mixed-gender team event - the United Cup, for the first time - but were eliminated in the quarterfinal by a vibrant Australian team cheered every step of the way by a raucous home crowd in Perth.
First, the tireless Alex de Minaur pierced through a worn-out Djokovic, perturbed by a wrist injury, before Ajla Tomljanovic landed the telling blow to send the host nation into Saturday's semifinal against Germany in Sydney.
Defeat in singles competition finally put a stain on the Serb's remarkable run on Australian soil spanning five years and running through a jaw-dropping 43 matches. In that time, Djokovic won five titles Down Under, four of which came at the year's first major in Melbourne.

Jannik Sinner's coach, Simone Vagnozzi, has recently spoken on the comparisons between his protege and World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz.
Sinner and Alcaraz have emerged as the frontrunners in the Atp's Next Gen project. Both have successfully graduated from that level, winning the prestigious 21-and-under tournament and going on to achieve greater heights.
Alcaraz, 20, has already won two Grand Slams, becoming the first man born after 1990 to win multiple majors. He also became the youngest World No. 1 in Atp history at the age of 19 in 2022.
Despite being two years ahead in terms of age, Sinner's growth on the Atp Tour has been slightly slower than that of Alcaraz, but he has previously spoken about following his "own path" rather than focussing on direct comparisons with the Spaniard.
And now one of his coaches, Simone Vagnozzi, has stated that the Alcaraz is not the yardstick for Sinner, although he praised the young Spaniard.

Jannik Sinner's New Year's resolutions are vast, and it will be interesting to see whether he can emulate some of his achievements from last season and do even better.
Sinner performed impeccably in 2023, winning his first Masters 1000 title at the Canadian Open and securing Italy's first Davis Cup triumph in 47 years. The 22-year-old also equaled the previous best-ranking of an Italian man of World No. 4 - last achieved by Adriano Panatta.
Sinner scored elusive wins over Daniil Medvedev and Novak Djokovic - the latter in back-to-back tournaments at the end of the season, one of which he saved three successive match points.
Because of visible progress and constant improvement in his game, he is already poised to win his first Grand Slam in 2024. Even Djokovic, the most dominant champion on tour, believes Sinner is one of three youngsters who will carry the sport for many years in the future.

Novak Djokovic has extended his dominance at the top of the Atp rankings by posting his 406th week as World No. 1.
As the Atp season begins on a clean slate in 2024, Djokovic remains the only player with five-digit ranking points. The Serb has built an enormous lead over second-placed Carlos Alcaraz, which stretched to 2,390 points.
Alcaraz is not in action until the Australian Open, while Djokovic is playing in the United Cup, where he was instrumental in powering Serbia to an opening group-stage win over China in Perth.
Djokovic has an opportunity to win a maximum of 500 ranking points at the mixed-gender team competition but is set to drop 250 ranking points from winning the Adelaide International last year.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion is not assured of the World No. 1 beyond the Australian Open. That is because Alcaraz doesn't defend any points in January and has room to gain over...

Novak Djokovic is still the best player in the world, and the fact that he finished the 2023 season as the top ranked player on the Atp Tour just proves it.
In recent years, many great youngsters emerged on the men's Tour, as the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Holger Rune all showed their qualities.
All of them managed to beat the experienced Serbian, but neither of them seems to be able to do it regularly and in the biggest matches. Only recently, Sinner was able to beat the Serbian in the group stage of the 2023 Atp Finals, but then lost in the final of the event.
Rune is one of the players who defeated Djokovic at least twice, but according to the young Dane, who spoke on the Advantage Connors podcast, he and his peers need to beat the Serbian more often.

Jannik Sinner had a great end to the 2023 season, one that made him a contender for any tournament that he enters in 2024.
The young Italian has been considered the rising star on the Atp Tour for a few years now, but it just seemed that he missed the big result that would solidify his position in the Top 10 of the Atp Rankings.
This year, he got that triumph when he won the Atp 1000 tournament in Toronto, and after that, Sinner continued proving his qualities, beating Novak Djokovic at the 2023 Atp Finals.
According to former world no. 1, Tracy Austin, who spoke to Tennis.com, even though we used to refer to Sinner as the future of tennis, the future is now, as he's proved he's the present.
"For several years, we’ve been calling Jannik Sinner the future of tennis. Well, 2023 revealed that the future is now. This was Sinner’s breakthrough season into the elite.

Novak Djokovic is arguably the best tennis player of all time, which makes coaching him arguably the hardest coaching job of all time.
Imagine being a coach of the player who is arguably the best tennis player to have ever lived. What if you even say to him that he already doesn't know? Obviously, it's not that simple because Goran Ivanisevic is able to spot something Djokovic is not able to spot in real-time.
Input is always valuable, even though Djokovic proved himself to be the ultimate problem solver over the course of his career. Ivanisevic doesn't give too many interviews, but generally, when he does, he talks about Djokovic.
In a recent talk, he spoke about the dynamic between the coach and the player because it's not always smooth.

Jannik Sinner has received enormous praise from his coach Darren Cahill, who compared him to tennis greats Bjorn Borg and Mats Wilander.
The 22-year-old Italian has enjoyed his best season on tour in which he won his first Masters 1000 title in Toronto and ascended to a career-high ranking of World No. 4. Sinner's stellar year culminated with a historic Davis Cup triumph which catapulted him into Italian tennis folklore.
His coach Cahill has witnessed Sinner's development at a soaring pace in 2023. In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, the 58-year-old highlighted Sinner's adaptability as his greatest strength and something that has impressed him the most.
Cahill drew parallels to the careers of Bjorg and Wilander, former Grand Slams champions. While Sinner is still relatively young and in the early phase of his career, the Australian believes he is already mature at his age because of his vast intelligence and competitive abilities.

The 2024 calendar will be riched by one huge event, the Olympics in Paris, something Jannik Sinner has circled in his calendar.
Next year's Olympics will be slightly different because tennis will be played on clay. It's been a long time since it's been played on clay, as the last time it happened was in 1992 in Barcelona.
Since then, all events have been played on hard courts except the 2012 Olympics in London, which were played on grass, of course. That adds a bit of spice to the event, as not all players are great clay players.
Jannik Sinner is pretty good on the surface and could certainly do some damage if he keeps the level he showed recently. According to his coach, Darren Cahill, it's an event he has circled for next year, so much so that Cahill called it a top priority.

Novak Djokovic was snubbed in the list of players nominated for the 2023 Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award, leaving his fans infuriated.
According to the Atp, this award is vested upon the player, "who conducted himself at the highest level of professionalism and integrity, who competed with his fellow players with the utmost spirit of fairness, and who promoted the game through his off-court activities."
This week, the Atp published a four-man shortlist for the award and these are Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Hubert Hurkacz, and Grigor Dimitrov. Fans of Djokovic immediately took to social media to vent their frustrations that their favorite player was omitted.
Because Djokovic was not in contention for the other three categories of awards, such as the Comeback Player of the Year, Most Improved Player of the Year, and Newcomer of the Year, the Sportsmanship Award was his only chance to bag one of the Atp's year-end prizes.

According to former Italian Atp player Adriano Panatta, Novak Djokovic could get pushed to retirement by Jannik Sinner.
Novak Djokovic is still one of the best tennis players in the world, and that's not just a blank statement. He proved it on the court this year by winning three out of four Grand Slams on top of some other big events like the Cincinnati Masters and the Atp Finals.
He's had some minor hiccups, such as the Wimbledon loss to Carlos Alcaraz and some recent losses to Jannik Sinner, but nothing was indicating that he's slowing down in any capacity.
Now, former player Adriano Panatta could see him retire from the sport if he stops being competitive. That is not a shocking opinion because Djokovic confirmed that multiple times.
He will stop when he doesn't feel as competitive as he wants to be, which could happen technically at any time.

Italian tennis icon Adriano Panatta does not have a "feeling of jealousy" that Jannik Sinner will shatter all his records, calling him an "exceptional" athlete.
Panatta, 73, remains the only Italian man in history to win a Grand Slam title when he triumphed at the 1976 French Open. He is also the only player to defeat Bjorn Borg, at the Parisian Slam, doing so on multiple occasions.
1976 was the pinnacle of Italian men's tennis. Aside from winning his only major title at Roland Garros, Panatta also bagged the Italian Open in Rome, where he saved an astonishing 11 match points in his first-round match. He attained a career-high of World No. 4 and finished that season by winning the Davis Cup for Italy.

Former World No. 4 Adriano Panatta believes countryman Jannik Sinner has inched closer than ever to match Novak Djokovic's level of play thanks to his Davis Cup success a week ago.
Sinner became the first player to defeat Djokovic in a Davis Cup singles rubber in 21 matches, a streak that had been intact for 12 years. What made the victory even sweeter was the manner in which it happened.
Sinner saved three successive match points down the stretch before pulling the rabbit out of the hat. That victory earned him immense plaudits back home and denied Djokovic the dream season he so desperately craved when he arrived at the event.
The 22-year-old became just the fourth man to consign Djokovic to defeat after holding match points and backed up his most recent win over the Serbian in Turin where he also snapped another streak - 19 matches since Djokovic last fell on the Atp Tour.

Jannik Sinner was given rapturous applause by Milan fans on his return to Italy after his heroics landed Italy their first Davis Cup title since 1976.
The 22-year-old, a boyhood fan of football giants AC Milan, was invited to the iconic San Siro stadium to watch his club in action against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. As the players warmed up, Sinner was introduced to the enthusiastic Milan fans who loudly chanted his name.
Sinner has put together one of the greatest seasons by an Italian tennis player on the Atp Tour. He reached a maiden Grand Slam semifinal at Wimbledon and won his first-ever Masters title in Canada. He achieved a personal-best ranking of World No. 4, tying highest-ranked Italian man Adriano Panatta on that front.
At this year's Atp Finals which was hosted in his home country, he reached the title match, becoming the first Italian man to achieve this monumental milestone.

For the second year in a row, it was heartbreak and agony for Team Australia, who finished runners-up at the Davis Cup.
Jannik Sinner inspired Italy to their first Davis Cup success since 1976, leaving the nearly-men in green and gold crushed. The second-most successful team in the Davis Cup competition will be back next year to have another shot for title No. 28.
Despite the stark improvement in each of the past two years with a squad replete with talent, with four players ranked in the world's Top 56, including their top-ranked talisman Alex de Minaur (12th), it is hard not to overstate the difference Nick Kyrgos would have made had he been fit.
Obviously, Kyrgios' participation at the event would have been unlikely, even if he made a miraculous last-ditch recovery. Aside from questionable fitness concerns, the 28-year-old has a strained relationship with the country's team captain, Lleyton Hewitt.

Novak Djokovic tallied the highest number of Top 10 wins on the Atp Tour in 2023, in spite of playing just 12 Atp events.
Djokovic defeated Top 10 players on 17 occasions this season, at least four clear of the next-best in this department, who happens to be our 2023 Atp Most Improved Player, Jannik Sinner (13). The Serbian played 21 matches against the Top 10 and only lost four times.
Aside from Djokovic and Sinner, the other two players who managed double-digit match wins against the Top 10 are Carlos Alcaraz (11) and Daniil Medvedev (12). The Russian World No. 3 emerged as the most productive, winning the most matches this season (66).
Remarkably, Djokovic managed to face each player in the year-end Top 10 at least once during the season and picked up at least one win against each one of them. He finished the campaign with the highest winning % of any player on tour with 88.9%.

Holger Rune hired Boris Becker recently, and he's been quite happy with the progress in recent weeks, even though he's still losing matches.
Losing to Novak Djokovic at the Atp Finals is hardly the most disappointing thing you can do in tennis. Just being at the Atp Finals is a huge deal for Rune, who earned his place with a late-season push.
It happened literally in the weeks leading up to the Atp Finals after Rune struggled for multiple weeks before. He was 1-9 in his last 10 matches ahead of Becker taking over and it's been a really solid time since then.
He's playing better and better and, more importantly, found his confidence again. Some have described the partnership as a match made in heaven, and so far, that rings true. As for Rune, he gave his verdict after his maiden Atp Finals match.
It's great. It's really good. I mean,...

Holger Rune seemingly struggled physically in the third set against Novak Djokovic at the Atp Finals, but he claims he could have kept going.
An exciting match happened between Novak Djokovic and Holger Rune at the Atp Finals. The Danish player gave Djokovic quite a few problems, especially in the second set. The final set didn't go his way; much of it was due to his apparent physical struggles.
Rune was shortening the points and taking a lot of time between serves, resulting in a time violation. It ultimately allowed Djokovic to break his opponent and cruise to the finish line without much trouble. Despite that, the Danish player claimed that he could have kept going after the match.
I think physically I felt okay. Of course, I feel it. We played three hours. But I'm sure he also felt it a little bit. I was ready, if I had the chance,...

Stefanos Tsitsipas might have lost his first match at the Atp Finals, but he's aiming at a higher level of excellence in the next match.
That's not entirely problematic on its own, but when you remember that his next match is against Novak Djokovic, then you start to see it. Tsitsipas had a weird season. It started with a bang at the Australian Open as he made the final only to lose to Novak Djokovic.
Many assumed that he would keep the good level up, but he didn't. He struggled during the clay season, played a solid Wimbledon event, and greatly disappointed in the United States.
He did win a trophy at the Los Cabos Open, but that's about the only big thing he did. He did play a bit better in Paris and looked to be trending in the right direction, but overall, Tsitsipas is nowhere near the level he can be,...

Stefanos Tsitsipas began his 2023 Atp Finals with a loss to Jannik Sinner, and after the match, he addressed the injury rumors that were getting louder.
Stefanos Tsitsipas had very high hopes for this year's Atp Finals, even though he didn't play all that great in the previous weeks. His form improved in Paris, and it was good to see, but he was still considered an underdog in his group.
Beyond the shaky form, he apparently had to deal with an elbow injury after abandoning both practices in Turin leading up to his first match that happened on Sunday. He's had some elbow issues in the past and underwent surgery for it, so the reports weren't good news.
It didn't look too bad against Jannik Sinner, even though he lost. The Italian simply overwhelmed Tsitsipas from the baseline, but the Greek looked fine. He confirmed that he was fine after the...

The 2023 Atp Finals are underway, and the first match is done with native player Jannik Sinner besting Stefanos Tsitsipas in two sets.
The Italian finally made his proper debut at the event after playing as an alternate two years ago. He received massive support from the crowd since the start of the match, and he simply overwhelmed his opponent.
Sinner was the heavy favourite because he's just been amazing in recent weeks. The Italian played a very solid match from the start taking the ball early in most rallies, which yielded results.
He has the more powerful game out of the two from the baseline, and it was pretty evident from the start. The early break in the opening set was sufficient, as he didn't face a single break point.
He had five aces and lost only a couple of points on his serve to win the opening set. The...

Jannik Sinner revealed that the upsetting news he received about his grandfather's passing made him cry.
Ahead of the Atp Finals in Turin, where Sinner will play the first match of the tournament against Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas on Sunday afternoon, the 22-year-old sat down for an interview with Italian publication Corriere della Sera and shared a melancholic story that drove him to shed tears.
Sinner tends to keep a very low profile on social media and shies away from displaying flashy images about himself or his family members. In the past, he admitted that he would always keep his dating life private and has never posted a picture in the company of his parents.
But during a recent interview, Jannik Sinner opened up about the loss of his grandfather, Josef Sinner, who passed on in January, after the 22-year-old finished competing at the Australian Open. He was 91 when he died,...

Jannik Sinner is not motivated by money, according to the man himself, who spoke with Italian media ahead of his Atp Finals debut.
Even though Sinner played at the Atp Finals two years ago as an alternate, we are going to call this his proper debut to give credit to the amazing season he had. It's been truly a great one where Sinner proved that he beat some of the best players regularly as he bested Medvedev, for example, in two finals.
This upcoming event will be special for him. It will be on home soil, which he doesn't get to experience often. The media interest in Italy is high as Sinner sat down with Corriere della Serra to talk about his career and expectations of Turin.

Stefanos Tsitsipas is in a race against time to overcome a reported elbow injury that appears to have flared up while practicing at the Atp Finals.
This year's season finale commences on Sunday, November 12, with Tsitsipas scheduled in the first match of the tournament against the home player and fourth seed Jannik Sinner. Tsitsipas owns a commanding lead in the head-to-head against the Italian.
However, Sinner has turned a corner since they met at the Australian Open earlier this season. He defeated Tsitsipas in Rotterdam and is currently ranked a couple of spots higher than the Greek.
But according to Portuguese journalist Jose Morgado, Tsitsipas' preparations for the upcoming match against Sinner in Turin have been affected by a recurrence of elbow injury. In fact, Tsitsipas stopped in the middle of his practice for the second day in a row, which suggests he is in pain.

Daniil Medvedev is the number three seed at the Atp Finals and undoubtedly the third-best player on the Atp Tour this season.
Medvedev is one of four players who have won the season-ending championships before and will arrive in Turin this season with a score to settle after last year's disappointment. His record at this tournament points to one of two scenarios - either win or bust.
In four trips, Medvedev has been eliminated in the group stage twice and reached the final on two occasions (winning it in 2020). Can he go all the way this season? Here are five reasons why he might.
5. Former Champion
Being a former champion at the Atp Finals means that Medvedev has the formula for success. In fact, the Russian reached back-to-back finals in 2020 and 2021, losing his second final to Alexander Zverev.
In the past ten years, only Zverev and Novak Djokovic won the Atp Finals more than once.

Jannik Sinner will be the home crowd favorite at the 2023 Atp Finals in Turin, where he is set to make his proper full debut as a qualifying contender.
Sinner played at this event as an alternate a couple of years ago, replacing his compatriot Matteo Berrettini. The 22-year-old will attempt to become the first Italian man to win the prestigious Atp Finals after a career-best season on tour saw him soar into a career-high ranking of No. 4. Can Sinner go all the way? Here are five reasons why he could end that wait.
5. Improved Mental Strength
Last year and for half of this season, Sinner has brushed off claims that he belongs in the same group as Carlos Alcaraz. Sinner's talent was absolute, and he stood on the doorstep of a breakthrough win since he shot up in the rankings until he finally was able to break it down this season.

Jannik Sinner is going to play his second Atp Finals but the first one as a regular member and not an alternate, so what happens when he faces fellow young gun Holger Rune? Find out in the preview below.
Sinner and Rune are two very interesting players who subscribe to the same tennis philosophy. Offense is everything when it comes to them because they like being in control of a rally and then possibly finishing it off on their own terms as well.
That's why their matches so far have been really entertaining but the interesting thing is that Sinner didn't have much success. It's an interesting thing to observe because the Italian is the better pure hitter out of the two players.
Rune does tend to have a bit more control overall, which I think matters against a streaky player like Sinner. Sure, his best will absolutely crush you,...

Jannik Sinner will have to overcome a rather negative tradition against Stefanos Tsitsipas at the 2023 Atp Finals if he hopes to qualify for the semi-finals, so let's see whether he will.
Obviously, we don't know if he will, but there are some things that we can look at to help determine how likely his victory over Tsitsipas is. We have to say that, as of recently, Sinner has played much better than Tsitsipas and actually bested him this year.
The Greek has been pretty okay this year but didn't show anything special winning only one trophy so far. He's been okay in Turin but seemed to have preferred London, where he actually won a trophy a few years ago.
Head-to-head:
Traditionally, Tsitsipas has had a good time against Sinner because he leads the H2H 5-2 so far. He bested him earlier this year at the Australian Open, though barely,...

Jannik Sinner is getting ready to play at the 2023 Atp Finals, and he's not worried about pressure because it's not that big.
Every person in the world has pressure. It doesn't matter if you play sports or if you work in a supermarket. We're all driven by different kinds of pressure because, ultimately, nothing is free.
You have to eat, you have to drink, and that costs, which means you have to provide for yourself. That's pressure, and while it's not the highest type of pressure, it's still there.
Athletes have a different kind of pressure, and while it's a very real thing, many downplayed it over the years. Sinner did the same ahead of the Atp Finals, admitting that his pressure is not the same pressure a surgeon, for example, feels, and he's right.
To compare it, the Italian mentioned a surgeon, who is practically responsible for the life of a person.

Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev have played 17 times so far, and number 18 is coming up at the 2023 Atp Finals in Turin, so who will win?
It's a really complicated question, but it can be tackled. Medvedev has played pretty well in recent weeks, but he was also beaten quite a few times. It's a strange thing with the Russian as his style of play is both his strength and also his weakness at times.
Take the Vienna Open final against Jannik Sinner. It's a match he could have won and should have won, but the loose style of play simply gave Sinner too many chances. I don't see him ever changing it because it's part of what works so well for him, but it can give him trouble against some of the best.
When it comes to Zverev, he was okay but looked quite tired. The German played a lot of tennis in recent weeks,...

From November 12th until 19th, the Atp year-end competition, the 2023 Atp Finals, will be played in Turin, Italy, and the draw has been revealed.
Every year, the best of the best meet at the year-end competition, and the 2023 edition of the tournament promises to be one of the best events ever, and the majority of the players already hit the practice courts.
One thing we knew is that the top two seeds, the defending champion Novak Djokovic, and the Atp Finals debutant Carlos Alcaraz won't meet in one group, and the first-seeded Serbian ended up in the green group, while his Spanish rival will compete in the red group.
Joining them from the second pot are another two very strong opponents. Djokovic will meet the fourth-seeded Jannik Sinner in the green group, while Daniil Medvedev, who was "not strong enough" last year, according to his own words, will join Alcaraz in the red group.

Jannik Sinner is feeling 'confident' and enjoyed a period of sustained success against fellow Atp Finals contenders.
Before he sets foot on the big battleground at the Pala Alptitour in Turin where he is set to make his full debut as a qualifying entrant at the Atp Finals, Sinner stated that he has built up confidence by beating close rivals Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, and Andrey Rublev in the past few weeks.
Sinner is a big believer in a player gaining confidence through winning tennis matches. Moreover, he expounds on the quality of opposition, adding that it builds up when you beat the best players. The Italian was one of the most productive players during the Atp's indoor swing.
He defeated Rublev and Medvedev in back-to-back matches to win the Atp 500 in Vienna last month. At the start of October, he was in sensational form too, despite facing health concerns in Beijing.

Six of the world's Top 8 players have jetted in Turin ahead of the 54th edition of the Atp Finals, which will commence on Sunday, November 12.
Jannik Sinner was the first to touch down in his home country after a premature exit in Paris. The hard-hitting Italian was forced to withdraw from the last Masters tournament due to fatigue following a late-night finish to his second-round match.
Sinner held his first practice session behind closed doors in the presence of his fitness coach Umberto Ferrara and shared a short clip on his social media handle. The 22-year-old has previously played at the Atp Finals as an alternate, but never as a qualifying player.
But after a career-best season in which he won four Atp titles including a maiden Masters 1000 in Toronto, Sinner will shoulder all home expectations. No Italian player has won the year-end championships since the tournament was incepted back in 1970.

Things improved in Tokyo as he made it to the Japan Open final and bested Aslan Karatsev to win his maiden Atp trophy . It belongs to the 500 series, which is a pretty big one for a maiden trophy, and it's quite significant.

Jannik Sinner is excited about taking on the Atp Finals challenge after a really great standout year on the Atp Tour.
This won't be the first time Sinner plays at the Atp Finals because he was an alternate a few years ago when he replaced an injured Matteo Berrettini. The event was played in Turin at that time, and the Italian felt all the love, which is why he's so excited to return this year .
It comes after a really solid standout year where he won multiple trophies, including his maiden Atp 1000 trophy in Toronto, as well as the China Open . It's just an amazing time for Sinner, whose breakout happened a few years ago, but it took him some time to finally establish himself as one of the best players in the world.
Speaking to the Atp Tennis Radio Podcast recently, Sinner expressed satisfaction with being in the official eight.

The Race to Turin is heating up with close to five players outside the Top 8 positions jostling to join in, but who will succeed?
So far, we know with certainty that Novak Djokovic , Carlos Alcaraz , Daniil Medvedev , and Jannik Sinner have sealed their spots in the eight-man caravan that will travel at the season finale. The Atp Finals will begin on November 12th.
Djokovic and Alcaraz are fighting their own battle for the year-end No. 1 ranking. Just 500 points separate the world's top two in one of the closely contested finishes at the top since 2016. Alcaraz can draw level if he wins in Basel next weekend.
Medvedev and Sinner sit in 3rd and 4th respectively and it is unlikely they would swap places at this stage. But just below them, we have quite a number of players looking to finish in the Top 8. The current cut-off point for Turin is 4,555, and...
