Envy Tiecy
- Actress
- Music Artist
Envy Tiecy lives in Baton Rouge, LA, and always had a natural gift for acting and singing since a child mimicking the vocals and dances of the late Tina Turner. At age 9, she was screened for the Louisiana Gifted and Talented Arts program and was accepted immediately after auditioning. She remained in the program learning to truly channel her gift, along with the fundamentals of theater and the like for over 10 years. Known to be the "Star" of her community, she was recognized in the Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate (2006 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service) for many theatrical and musical works in theaters across Southeast Louisiana, such as CHS Fine Arts Theater, Slidell Little Theater, The Star Theater, and Playmakers Inc to name a few. She continued to pursue her dream of being on the "Big Stage" and by age 18, she knew she harnessed the potential to soar not only as an actress and singer but in every aspect of the world in entertainment. The following year she had her beautiful daughter, then married and had three handsome sons. At that point, raising a family was a number one priority. During those years, her mental health began to affect her day-to-day life which led to the end of her marriage (2018). She understood that certain emotions and feelings were not healthy and sought the professional help she needed. To this day, Envy Tiecy battles with bipolar depression, ADHD, anxiety, and insomnia, but the difference is she has learned to manage it and let it guide her creativity. Even nicknamed "Sunshine" by almost everyone with whom she has crossed paths. In 2022 she released her first R&B single "Ex Fact Her" followed by "Love Language" and "New Booty". In 2023 she landed her first commercial with the Louisiana Lottery and can be seen in films such as "Dad's Party" written and directed by Campion Murphy and "Re-Election" directed by Adam Saunders. Her lifelong dream is to one day meet and film with director Tyler Perry. Her favorite quote:
"In order to save myself I must destroy first the me I was told to be." -The Dreamer
