- Nicholas John Cester was born on 6 July 1979 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He is better known as the lead singer of rock band Jet. The band was formed in 2001 and is comprised of Nic (vocals), his brother Chris Cester (drums), Cameron Muncey (guitar) and Mark Wilson (bass). When Jet first began performing in clubs, Nic was working in a Melbourne factory as a forklift operator. The band was signed to record label Elektra after their debut single, "Take It Or Leave It", became a hit. When Nic isn't touring with Jet, he hangs out in his home town of Melbourne.
