Judge Bodil Backer (Bracha van Doesburgh) seemingly has it all: she’s a no-nonsense Judge and has a great home life with her doctor husband Milan (Nasrdin Dchar) and pre-teen son Ben (Damiano Incani).
At the start of director André van Duren’s Erotic Thriller, Bo is preparing for a girls weekend away with her best friend Isabel (Elise Schaap). They leave their husbands behind in Amsterdam, board a train for Bo’s family beach house in Belgium and outline plans for their weekend, which includes a burner phone, a large sum of money, and an expensive suite at a high-end hotel for Isabel.
Faithfully Yours has a fantastic central premise: a few times a year the two women use each other as cover while they cheat on their husbands. One woman will attend a lecture or visit a museum and snap photos to send to the husbands as an alibi.

I'm not the biggest fan of Netflix. I don't want to get into a huge rant about it, but my biggest issue is that here in the Czech Republic, it takes the service forever to upload any new movies. Then, when something fresh finally drops, it's usually something starring Ryan Reynolds, Adam Sandler, or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. I may be exaggerating, but that's what it feels like; too many mediocre Netflix originals and not much in the way of variety beyond the most mainstream of offerings.
To give Netflix its due, it does throw up some surprises from time to time. Given how subtitle-adverse many viewers in English-speaking countries can be, they took a bit of a chance on "Squid Game," but it went on to become a phenomenon and further advanced the cause of the booming Korean entertainment industry. Then there was "Cobra Kai," which sounded a lot...

"Don't worry. We'll put our heads together and think of something." Ready for something a bit strange and fun to enjoy? Watch this entertaining short film Heads Together, a Dutch creation from an animation trio known as Job, Joris & Marieke - based in Utrecht. Vimeo premiered this online after a few years of playing at film festivals around the world. It's a surreal story about three friends who exchange heads by accident and are forced to adapt to each other's life and experience how they each live. With the voices of Paulien Cornelisse, Nasrdin Dchar, Fockeline Ouwerkerk, and Steye van Dam. This was originally created for a shorts competition: "part of the 'Nu of Nooit' series in which the multicultural society has to be the main theme. The film is aimed at kids between 8 and 12 years." And they're producing a longer series based on this as well. It's an amusing...

The Venezuelan helmer’s second feature will star actors Joes Brauers, Spencer Bogaert and Tobias Kersloot in the lead roles. Shariff Korver’s new project, a suspense-drama entitled Do Not Hesitate, is now in post-production. The director’s feature debut, the thriller The Intruder, world-premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2014 and starred Nasrdin Dchar in the lead role. That flick revolved around the vicissitudes of a Dutch police officer called Sam, the son of a Moroccan family who is tasked with infiltrating a drug cartel. Korver’s new endeavour, penned in its entirety by Jolein Laarman, stars Joes Brauers, Spencer Bogaert and Tobias Kersloot in the lead roles. In detail, the plot follows three young soldiers who are left to guard a military vehicle by themselves after the sudden disappearance of their superior. As their situation...
The Netherlands-based company Dutch Features has acquired a pair of action-packed series, “Rogue Justice” and “The Columnist,” in the run up to Mipcom.

Maj-id (Kenzari) is a talented kick boxer from a gray, anonymous suburb in the Netherlands. Whilst trying to support his family through petty crime, his fighting prowess brings him increasing notoriety in-and outside the ring. As the worlds of kickboxing and organized crime begin to blur into each another, Maj-id begins to lose sight of what it is he really wants and also those who are closest to him as well.
Wolf is a black and white film and is entirely in Dutch so therefore, unless you speak Dutch, you will have to read the subtitles. If either of those facts cause you to recoil in horror at even the thought of watching the film, then this definitely isn’t the one for you.
