Gabriel Geller
- Actor
Born in Portland, Oregon, and also growing up in British Columbia and Vermont, Gabriel Geller is an American and Canadian actor, musician, photographer, and poet, based in Toronto.
A recent graduate from The Acting For Film and Television Program at Toronto Film School, Gabriel takes his studies very seriously and was on the President's List for the entirety of his time in the program. Gabriel studied film at the University of Victoria before pursuing his passion directly at Toronto Film School.
At Toronto Film School, Gabriel played 3 Quentin Tarantino characters in the debut production of The Tarantino Cabaret, directed by Jonathan Higgins, held at the Helen Gardiner Playhouse. His performances were met with critical acclaim, portraying Lance from Pulp Fiction, Mr. White from Reservoir Dogs, and Cliff Booth from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. During his time in the program, Gabriel developed a 10 minute short film; the romance/drama Flames (2023), which he wrote, directed, produced, edited, and starred in. Gabriel also loves to collaborate with other students and has appeared in many student films, including The Muse of Leaves (2022) and Vault (2023), both directed by Eduardo Camargo. At the Toronto Film School Showcases for camera acting, Gabriel portrayed Jimmy in the short film adaptation of Paul Haggis' EZ Streets, directed by John Tench. He also portrayed Louis Ironson in the Toronto Film School stage showcase of Tony Kushner's Angels in America, directed by John Beale. He also wrote, edited, directed, and starred in a silent short film called Finding Ivories (2022).
Before studying at Toronto Film School, Gabriel first began acting in his Vermont high school, Thetford Academy. There, he played the lead role of Pete in John Cariani's Almost Maine, directed by Ray Chapin, as well as the supporting role of George in Kurt Vonnegut's Who Am I This Time?, the latter of which competed in a Vermont drama festival and was again directed by Ray Chapin. Music and film are an imperative part of Gabriel's day to day life. He is a self taught pianist and guitarist, having completed a piano album consisting of original material and is regularly composing music on the piano and the guitar. Gabriel loves collecting and talking about films, and watches the best films out there so he can improve his own craft. His enduring love, passion, and respect for cinema inspires him to create compelling stories, both in front of and behind the camera.
