Katie Cassidy (Arrow), Devon Sawa (Idle Hands), Kate Bosworth (Blue Crush), Tyrese Gibson (Morbius), and Chris Backus (Mindhunter) lead the cast of the survival thriller Fallout, which recently wrapped production in New Jersey. The movie was directed by Cecil Chambers (Due Season), who also crafted the screenplay with Michael Miceli (The Bounty Hunter).

It’s interesting to see that the story involves six people being trapped in one location, but only the names of five actors have been announced. Who is the sixth person in that bunker?

Out of Death is the latest Emmett/Furla production, a company who seem to be following the Pm Entertainment model of churning out action movie after action movie, with actors who are either long-term mid-carders or, like Willis, are in the twilight of their career. I’m not complaining. There was, for quite some time, a distinct lack of mid-budget original action movie fare made in the US. Of course there are the many Dtv franchises that Universal 1440 put out: Behind Enemy Lines, The Marine, Death Race, Sniper, etc. but not much by way of original storytelling. Emmett/Furla obviously saw the same gap in the market are thankfully filling that hole… With varying degrees of success may I add. But they’re still filling a...

"Shannon - you can trust me. What we need is evidence." Vertical Ent. has released the first official trailer for yet another small town crime thriller called Out of Death, the directorial debut of a music supervisor named Mike Burns. Yet another "Bruce Willis looks so terrible in this, why does he keep making bad films" project for everyone to guffaw at. A corrupt Sheriff's department in a rural mountain town comes undone when an unintended witness throws a wrench into their shady operation. Determined to help her at any cost, Jack must tap into his killer instincts to survive the wilderness and the human predators within it. This stars Bruce Willis, Jaime King, Lala Kent, Kelly Greyson, Tyler Jon Olson, and Michael Sirow. Oh yeah it looks as bad as it sounds; the only highlight is Jaime King delivering the only good performance. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Mike Burns' Out of Death,...

We all know that Bruce Willis spends most of his acting days appearing in cash-grab cameos in an interminable number of direct to market films; films that pop up on supermarket shelves with Willis’ face front and centre as if he’s the star. Hard Kill is yet another example of this stage in Willis’ oeuvre.

"If you want to survive, we're gonna have to work together." Another day, another awful new action movie with Bruce Willis. Too many of these already. Vertical Ent. has released a trailer for the action thriller Hard Kill. The work of billionaire tech CEO Donovan Chalmers is so valuable that he hires mercenaries to protect it, and a terrorist group kidnaps his daughter to get it. Another description says they must "stop a world-changing computer program from being triggered." Bruce Willis stars as Chalmers, with a cast including Jesse Metcalfe, Natalie Eva Marie, Tyler Jon Olson, Swen Temmel, and Texas Battle. This looks as cheesy and boring as every other Bruce Willis action flick these last few years. There isn't a scene where he doesn't wear the same scarf. I don't know why they keep making them, I don't know who watches them. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Matt Eskandari's Hard Kill,...

That Bruce Willis grimace. It’s almost as much a trademark as his smirk. When the actor’s mouth tightens and his eyes squint in “Survive the Night,” you’d like to think it’s because his character is feeling the pain. Emotionally, Frank’s estranged from his son. After a run-in with the movie’s two baddies, the retired sheriff will be hurting physically, too.
Not long into the action, a grimace becomes the only appropriate response to this try-hard flick, directed by Matt Eskandari and written by Doug Wolfe, about what happens when two brothers on the lam violently enlist the surgical services of Frank’s son. Chad Michael Murray plays Rich, who’s in the process of rebuilding his life after a malpractice suit ended his burgeoning medical career. "What do you think these guys want?" "I might have a pretty good idea." Lionsgate has released an official trailer for Force of Nature, an action thriller from filmmaker Michael Polish, launching directly onto VOD services in June this summer. Yet another movie set during a Category 5 hurricane, but this time not a horror (like Crawl). A gang of thieves plan a heist during a hurricane and encounter trouble when a cop tries to force everyone in the big apartment building to evacuate. Emile Hirsch stars with Mel Gibson, Kate Bosworth, David Zayas, Stephanie Cayo, William Catlett, Tyler Jon Olson, Swen Temmel, & Rey Hernandez. The hurricane in this looks so incredibly fake, and the rest of it just looks so mediocre. Might be worth skipping. "Used to be the big dog in town... Don't try anything." Lionsgate has debuted an official trailer for the home invasion action thriller Survive the Night, which looks pretty much as generic and as forgettable as they come. How do they keep getting made? Does anyone watch? Bruce Willis drives the action in this gripping home-invasion thriller. A disgraced doctor and his family are held hostage at their home by criminals on the run, when a robbery-gone-awry requires them to seek immediate medical attention. In addition to Willis, the cast includes Chad Michael Murray, Lydia Hull, Tyler Jon Olson, Shea Buckner, and Jessica Abrams. It looks so unoriginal and so redundant, just sad that Bruce Willis keeps making movies like this. Bruce Willis has done it all.
He’s defended Nakatomi Plaza from Russian terrorists (Die Hard), saved the planet from a stray asteroid (Armageddon), and cultivated superpowers across Unbreakable and Glass, two entries in M. Night Shyamalan’s mind-bending trilogy.
But for his latest, he’s venturing into the realm of home invasion thrillers. Whereas Hostage placed Willis in the shoes of a hostage negotiator though, Lionsgate’s Survive the Night sees the action great square off against two criminals who threaten his family.
It’s due to release digitally on May 22nd, and has been rated R for “violence, bloody images, and language throughout.” Put simply: it’s an old-school thriller starring Bruce Willis as its lead character, and People has today relayed the debut trailer. We can’t embed it here, unfortunately, but you can check it out via the link below.

Bruce Willis has a new action thriller coming out called Trauma Center. It’s a hospital survival thriller and Willis takes on the role of Lt. Wakes, “a vengeful police detective determined to solve the murders of his partner and an informant.” As you’ll see, this is the kind of movie that Willis sleepwalks his way through. It’s sad when Willis looks like the least interesting part of the movie.
In the story, Wakes joins forces with Madison, “a witness injured during the shootings. After the killers pursue Madison across the abandoned floor of a hospital, she confirms Wakes’s worst fears: the two men are actually corrupt vice cops covering up a crime. As Wakes vows revenge, this heart-pounding action-thriller reaches an explosive climax.”

"Maddie! Don't make this harder than it already is!" Lionsgate at Home has debuted the first official trailer for a new low-grade action thriller titled Trauma Center, which is one of those vague and terrible titles for a film that doesn't setup anything. Alone and trapped in a locked-down hospital ward overnight, an injured woman must escape a pair of vicious killers who are after the only piece of evidence that can implicate them in a grisly murder - the bullet in her leg. Luckily, a veteran cop is assigned to protect her, and he becomes her protector as the night grows more dangerous. Bruce Willis stars as the cop, and Nicky Whelan as the woman, and also featuring Steve Guttenberg, Tito Ortiz, Texas Battle, Lynn Gilmartin, Tyler Jon Olson, and Heather Johansen. This definitely looks as bad as it sounds, another bargain bin collectible. Here's the first official trailer...

"Every minute gets him closer to the truth." Lionsgate has debuted an official trailer for a crime thriller film titled 10 Minutes Gone, the latest by mediocre action filmmaker Brian A. Miller (he also made Backtrace with Stallone last year). 10 Minutes Gone is a crime thriller that centers on a man whose memory has been lost due to a bank heist gone wrong. Frank must piece together the missing 10 minutes from his memory in order to determine who sabotaged him, confronting his team members one-by-one before the boss takes him out. Michael Chiklis stars as Frank, with Bruce Willis, Meadow Williams, Kyle Schmid, Texas Battle, Lydia Hull, Swen Temmel, John D. Hickman, Sergio Rizzuto, Geoff Reeves, and Tyler Jon Olson. This looks as bland and forgettable as everything Brian A. Miller makes, despite the two leading actors. And the awkward "trailer voice" in this is cringe-worthy. "So much for honor among thieves,...

One Tree Hill alum Chad Michael Murray, Shea Buckner, Tyler Olson, Lydia Hull, and Jessica Abrams are set to co-star opposite Bruce Willis in The Long Night, an action thriller from Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films.
Directed by Matt Eskandari, the pic follows two ruthless criminals who break into a disgraced doctor’s home to be given medical attention after one of them is shot during a robbery gone wrong. Knowing that he lacks the expertise to patch up the injured trespasser, the doctor must protect his family at all costs.
Doug Wolfe penned the screenplay and production is currently underway. Randall Emmett and George Furla are producing with Tim Sullivan, Alex Eckert, and Ted Fox serving as executive producers.
Murray, who recurred on the latest seasons of CW’s Riverdale and Fox’s Star, is repped by Innovative Artists and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

“You can’t kill me! I died seven years ago!” It’s very much to the credit of Matthew Modine that he persuasively sells this melodramatic scrap of dialogue, and every other aspect of his trickily written lead character, in “Backtrace,” a better-than-average VOD-centric thriller that likely wouldn’t work nearly so well without the veteran actor’s totally committed performance. Sylvester Stallone and Christopher McDonald are along for the ride, but in roles that keep them largely consigned to the sidelines until the inevitable climatic shootout. Throughout most of the movie’s running time, Modine is tasked with the majority of the heavy lifting, and he handles the burden admirably.
Of course, he does get a little help from co-stars Ryan Guzman, Meadow Williams and Tyler Jon Olson, cast as conspirators who smuggle Modine’s character, MacDonald, out of a prison psychiatric ward. Seven years earlier, MacDonald and two...

"You'll need the support of all five boroughs." Vertical Ent. has debuted a second official trailer for crime thriller Gotti, spanning three decades telling the story of legendary crime boss John Gotti Sr., as played by John Travolta. The story focuses on Gotti's rise to power in New York, as well as his wife Victoria Gotti, played by Kelly Preston, along with his son John Gotti Jr., played by Spencer Lofranco. This film was slated as a last minute premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, which seems like an odd pick. It was originally set to open last December, but has been held until this June. The full cast includes Stacy Keach, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Megan Leonard, Lydia Hull, William DeMeo, Tyler Jon Olson, Leo Rossi, and Ella Bleu Travolta. This seems like a big film, and Travolta looks menacing, but I'm not excited at all to see it. Here's...

"I will build something that nobody can destroy." Lionsgate has released the first official trailer for a new crime thriller titled Gotti, spanning three decades telling the story of legendary crime boss John Gotti Sr., as played by John Travolta. The story focuses on Gotti's rise to power in New York City, as well as his wife Victoria Gotti, played by Kelly Preston, along with his son John Gotti Jr., played by Spencer Lofranco. The full cast includes Stacy Keach, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Megan Leonard, Lydia Hull, William DeMeo, Tyler Jon Olson, Leo Rossi, and Ella Bleu Travolta. The pitch for this makes it seem like it wants to be the next Godfather, but the footage does not live up to that comparison. Travolta actually looks good in the role, but the rest of it doesn't seem that impressive to me, yet another typical mob crime biopic. Here's the...

Hayden Christensen's career never really took off the way he expected it to after he made those Star Wars prequel films. Delivering that ridiculous dialogue that George Lucas came up with for the film didn't do him any favors.
Regardless, he seems like a decent actor from all the other films I've seen him in, and now he's got a couple new projects coming out. One is a solid looking film called Numb, At The Edge of The End. The other is called First Kill, which sees him team up with Bruce Willis to rescue his son from a really bad dude. Here's the synopsis for First Kill:
Will (Christensen) is a Wolf of Wall Street who takes his family for a retreat at the cabin where he grew up. After witnessing a shooting in the woods, though, his young son Danny (Ty Shelton, in his film debut...

In 2015 Steven C. Miller, director of horror hits such as The Aggression Scale, Under the Bed and Submerged, made a move into the action genre with the Bruce Willis-featuring Extraction. With his latest film, Marauders, he re-teams with Willis for a film that tells the story of an untraceable group of elite bank robbers execute the perfect heist, making off with millions in cash whilst leaving a dead bank manager in their wake.
The FBI Agents investigating the robbery/homicide (Meloni, Bautista and Grenier) begin to uncover signs of corruption involving the bank’s owner (Willis) and his high power clients. As they dig deeper into the case, the Feds realise that appearances can be deceiving,...

"Safety deposit boxes are were people keep their dirt." Lionsgate Premiere has debuted a trailer for a new bank heist thriller called Marauders, which once again takes inspiration from Heat and features men in masks robbing banks (like so many other thrillers recently). Bruce Willis stars as the owner of the bank, with a group of FBI agents thinking he's the mastermind behind it. The cast also includes Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista and Adrian Grenier, with Lydia Hull and Tyler Jon Olson. This looks okay, with some wimpy action and cheesy dialogue. But I'm intrigued to find out what's going on. Anyone else? Here's the first official trailer for Steven C. Miller's Marauders, direct from Lionsgate's YouTube: When a bank is hit by a brutal heist, all evidence points to the owner (Bruce Willis) and his high-powered clients. But as a group of FBI agents (Christopher Meloni, Dave Bautista...

Exactly ten years ago, Bruce Willis toplined Florent Emilio Siri’s low-key action thrill ride Hostage, playing a high-skilled Lapd agent who helped parlay a tense situation that witnessed a group of deadly terrorists infiltrate a family home. A decade on and Willis is now on the other end of the negotiations, with today’s first trailer for Extraction revealing the actor as a CIA agent who’s been kidnapped after the agency leaves him high and dry.

There was a time when the release of a heist film with Robert De Niro would have made for one of the most interesting things of the year, and would be a surefire draw to theaters. If you mixed in a lot of other actors that could draw their own crowd (here – Dave Bautista, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Gina Carano, Morris Chestnut, and more), you’d have something of a lock.
Heist, which foregoes delusions with a genre title, has released a trailer which seems to contain undercurrents of self-doubt. It isn’t sure people are going to be interested, but thinks it has a new spin that makes the whole thing worth the trouble.
It certainly has something new to bring. Though not completely unique, the story isn’t really about the heist, but what happens after things go wrong. Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays Vaughn, who tries to rob a casino,...

Given the title of the film, you could be fooled into thinking that Scott Mann’s upcoming actioner Heist was a full remake of David Mamet’s 2001 film of the same name – alas, the reality is somewhat more disappointing.
Yahoo Movies has debuted the maiden trailer for Mann’s thriller. Starring Robert De Niro, Jeffery Dean Morgan and Guardians of the Galaxy alum Dave Bautista, Heist orbits around the attempts of two men desperate to rob De Niro’s crime boss, The Pope. Channeling the fast-editing and style of Ocean’s Eleven in the beginning, the trailer then switches abruptly to high-speed pursuit, with Mann’s actioner – originally titled Bus 657 – switching gears into all-out hostage thriller.
It’s a tense situation that plays out similarly to Keanu Reeves’ Speed only with less flair and even less Keanu Reeves, and the general feeling of been there, done that doesn’t have us too optimistic.

Bruce Willis isn’t exactly on much of a roll lately. A run of slightly dodgy action roles and a surprise exit from Woody Allen’s latest, apparently for schedule reasons, have seemed to dominate his recent career. The first trailer has been unveiled for the Brian A. Miller-directed indie sci-fi thriller "Vice". Bruce Willis plays the designer behind Vice, a resort of artificial human-like robots where human clients can use them to live out any fantasy with no laws, rules or consequences.
Then, one robot (Ambyr Childers) becomes self-aware and escapes, threatening to destroy the profitable business with a burned out cop (Thomas Jane) setting out to not just find her but shut down Vice as well. Johnathon Schaech, Bryan Greenberg, Charlotte Kirk and Tyler J. Olson also star in the film which hits theaters and on demand on January 6th.
