You could call Dutch cop comedy Popoz a regional response to the Jump Street films and not be too far off, though I have a hunch you'd be selling it just a touch short by doing so. Directed by Martijn Smits and Erwin van den Eshof - the duo responsible for Dutch zombie comedy Zombibi - the feature is expanded out from the duo's Comedy Central television series of the same name which ran for a six episode series in 2013 with a standalone special following in 2014. Former New Kids and Bros Before Hos star Huub Smit takes one of the lead roles along with Sergio Hasselbaink and Noel Deelen in a cop comedy that tends towards the sort of broad, slapstick humor that...

Zombibi Trailer. Martijn Smits, Erwin van den Eshof‘s Zombibi (2012) movie trailer stars Uriah Arnhem, Wouter Braaf, Noel Deelen, Yahya Gaier, and Rik Sinkeldam. Zombibi‘s plot synopsis: “The bizarre story takes place in Amsterdam-West, where a virus turns people into bloodthirsty zombies. Although much blood is flowing and many limbs chopped off, there is a lot to laugh at in this bizarre horror comedy.”
This horror movie, comedy trailer is bananas in all the best ways. Zombieland 2. Writer Tijs van Marle did a good job here by the scenarios he has created.
More on Zombibi:
Zombibi is a real hakfilm like never before in the Netherlands is made. A Russian satellite crashed and everyone turns into zombies, with the key players who spend the night in jail had to stay against the samples should be included.
The film was called in the first Shouf Shouf Zombibi, making it...

Are you ready for something really crazy, and I mean it this time? Our friends at Bloody-Disgusting have found an official trailer for a Dutch zombie comedy called Zombibi that just looks nuts, absolutely insane. Not only is there bloody violent zombie mayhem galore, but there's also big sci-fi visual effects, a guy with a humongous gatling gun taking out zombies, lots of decapitation, and everything else you can imagine. More European zombie chaos at its finest! This doesn't have subtitles, but it doesn't need any, they use the damn Pirates of the Caribbean trailer music which doesn't fit, but it doesn't matter, it's wild enough. Have fun! Watch the first official trailer for Martijn Smits & Erwin van den Eshof's Zombibi, from YouTube: The bizarre story takes place in Amsterdam-West, where a virus turns people into bloodthirsty zombies. Generally speaking, meteorites kind of suck. When they’re not violently obliterating major cities, these evil otherworldly rocks are transforming innocent human beings into flesh-eating zombies. Such is the case with director Martijn Smits and Erwin van den Eshof upcoming Dutch horror flick “Zombibi”, a film which chronicles such an event with a healthy dose of culture clash humor. The embedded trailer is fiendishly gory, and should appeal to those of you who can’t stop watching “Shaun of the Dead” every other week. You know who you are. Read this quick synopsis before proceeding: The bizarre story takes place in Amsterdam-West, where a virus turns people into bloodthirsty zombies. Although much blood is flowing and many limbs chopped off, there is a lot to laugh at in this bizarre horror comedy. “Zombibi” stars Achmed Akkabi, Rik Sinkeldam, Gigi Ravelli, Sergio Hasselbaink, Mimoun Ouled Radi, Yahya Gaier, Noel Deelen, Wouter Braaf,...

[Updated with English subtitled trailer.]There's a bit of a bait-and-switch happening in the full theatrical trailer for Martijn Smits and Erwin van den Eshof's upcoming Zombibi. Things kick off looking like a stereotypical race based comedy and then ... well, then a meteor strikes Amsterdam and all hell breaks loose. And the moment that the first kill comes - which is pretty early - it becomes obvious that these guys know exactly what they're doing. The bizarre story takes place in Amsterdam-West, where a virus turns people into bloodthirsty zombies. Shouf! Shouf! Let it all ouf! These are the things we can do withouf! Come on! I'm talking to you, so come on. Sorry, got carried away there. No, this new indie flick has nothing to do with the band Tears for Fears although its makers hope to bring you to tears with their funny fears.
In retrospect that entire first paragraph really makes my head hurt. Anyway ... yeah! What we're talking about here is Shouf Shouf Zombibi, Erwin van den Eshof and Martijn Smits' new zombie comedy from the Netherlands starring Achmed Akkabi, Mimoun Ouled Radi, and Yes-r.

I dig the hell out of this. It's the official trailer for filmmaker Erwin van den Eshof's Harry Doright's Prelude to Hell Trailer . The short film was completed last year in Belgium, runs about 15 minutes and is making its Screamfest debut this month ( more details ). Here's the synopsis, but I say watch the trailer first, then give it a read. Before this Erwin van den Eshof directed and co-wrote 2006's Dead End (aka Dood Eind ). At his 60th birthday, Harry Doright and his family are acquainted to a most unwelcome guest. A demon who claims the souls of Harry and his loved ones. In order to save their souls, Harry plays a terrifying game with the guest, only to remeber his own horrible past, which he had long forgotten. Why must Harry Doright go to Hell and who of his...
