One might think that “Survivor 45” has opened up now that the players found a way to finally oust their unanimous target Bruce Perreault, but a core four of original Reba tribe members could control the game through to the end. Drew Basile, Austin Li Coon, Julie Alley and Dee Valladares have remained strong as an alliance and have a majority four votes together while Katurah Topps and Jake O’Kane are remnants of a Belo tribe left in ruins and Emily Flippen fights for autonomy as the last standing Lulu player.
With idols still in pockets and players eager to leave their strategic mark on the competition, the game will either sail lazily on with Reba staying strong or it will swiftly open up on the heels of betrayal. Can Dee and Austin keep their group together or will Katurah and Emily find more cracks to expose? Below are our power...

It’ll be hard to top Survivor‘s hit previous season: Carolyn’s big personality made every episode of Survivor 44 fun, and perennially uplifting winner Yam Yam felt truly deserving. Among the new players diving in for 26 days in Fiji: three attorneys (who will probably fib about their profession), a pop star with the stage name J. Maya and a gym owner who looks like he’ll steamroll through the physical challenges. Here, host Jeff Probst tells us more about what’s to come in Survivor Season 45’s 90-minute episodes, kicking off Wednesday, September 27 at 8/7c on CBS. It’s Survivor 45 – 45! What keeps you coming back? Jeff Probst: I really do still love doing Survivor, and the reason hasn’t changed over 22 years. I love people. I love human behavior. I love how we justify our ethics. I love watching players try to navigate complicated social relationships while playing an...

Season 45 of CBS’s reality TV show “Survivor” will premiere on September 27, and (for the first time ever) each episode will be 90 minutes long. As usual, this Fall 2023 competition will strand 18 diverse castaways on a deserted island in Mamanuca Islands, Fiji, where they will initially be divided into three tribes. The players will compete in challenges for immunity and rewards, and they’ll vote each other out until only one remains as the $1 million winner. Scroll through our gallery above (or click here for direct access) to see the “Survivor 45” cast photos — who’s your early favorite?

When “Survivor” found itself nominated at this year’s Emmys in the Best Competition Program category (for the first time in 17 years), no one was more excited than the Tika Three. This fan-favorite alliance from “Survivor 44” is made up of winner Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho, finalist Carolyn Wiger and fourth-place finisher Carson Garrett, aka the “Three Stooges.” Amazingly, Yam Yam “manifested” this Emmy Award nomination last summer while speaking with host/producer Jeff Probst on the island during filming. “Jeff laughed it off, and it happened!” Carson explains. Watch the exclusive video interview above.
“Survivor” has won seven total Emmys through the years: four for Probst as Best Reality Host (2008-11), plus one each for Best Cinematography (2010), Best Sound Mixing (2001) and Best Non-Fiction Program (2001) — the latter being a “Special Class” award that was handed out before the current competition category was established.

In the Season 44 finale of Survivor, Carolyn Wiger faced the jury alongside ally Yam Yam Arocho and former Soka member Heidi Lagares-Greenblatt at the final Tribal Council. While Heidi made the big one-two punch of winning immunity and taking Carson out, Yam Yam was able to impress the jury with his social strengths and likability, which earned him seven out of the eight votes and the show’s big prize.

But alas, she didn’t receive a single jury vote at the final tribal council. (Read our minute-by-minute finale recap.) Instead, her Tika bestie Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho earned a leading seven out of eight ballots, making him the 44th winner, while Soka’s fire queen Heidi Lagares-Greenblatt won over the remaining juror (Danny Massa).

*Caution: Spoilers for Survivor season 44 ahead!*
Survivor crowned its newest winner on Wednesday, marking the conclusion of the show’s wild and exciting 44th season.
Of the 18 castaways who began competition in March, only five remained ahead of this week’s finale episode: Heidi Lagares-Greenblatt, Carson Garrett, Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho, Lauren Harpe and Carolyn Wiger.
The three-hour conclusion covered the group’s final three days of competition, as the field was whittled down until the jury voted for the “sole survivor.” After all the votes were cast, Yam Yam wound up walking away with the well-earned win.
After an impressive season of strategic gameplay, some of the best social gameplay in recent memory, and an impressive display to the jury, the 36-year-old salon owner from San Juan, Puerto Rico, took home the show’s $1 million grand prize.

Carolyn told the private cams, "I don't regret playing my idol. Me, Carson and Yam Yam are still together." Carolyn went on to tell everyone how she found her idol earlier on in the game along with some intricate details about how she's been playing the game. Yam Yam was impressed. In fact, he was so impressed that he told the private cams, "Carolyn needs to stop letting everyone know how good she is. It's creating a bigger target for her.

On Wednesday’s 11th episode of “Survivor 44,” Danny Massa cut the mission to find out who cast a vote against him short, believing it to have been a member of Tika. That belief led him down a path to targeting Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho for the vote, but Yam Yam brought together the former Ratu members to oust Danny instead. Read on for his “Survivor 44” exit interview from the end of the episode.
For Danny, the vote should have been simple. With two Soka, two Ratu and three Tika in the game, the four non-Tika were supposed to align together to take out Yam Yam or Carson Garrett. Everyone was on board to take out Yam Yam, until he won his first immunity challenge and had safety. When the vote turned to Carson, the plan was still on, but Jaime Lynn Ruiz and Lauren Harpe were swayed by Tika to take out Danny instead.

Everyone was on board to take out Yam Yam, until he won his first immunity challenge and had safety. When the vote turned to Carson, the plan was still on, but Jaime Lynn Ruiz and Lauren Harpe were swayed by Tika to take out Danny instead.

Hey, "Survivor" fans. Tonight, May 10, 2023, another new episode of Survivor season 44 did hit the air, and another unlucky contestant got voted off the island at the end in an exciting tribal council vote. Tonight's episode kicked off with Yam Yam revealing to the private cams that Carolyn is super upset that she was on the wrong side of the vote at the last tribal council meeting, which sent her good friend Frannie Marin packing for the jury. Carolyn really didn't want Frannie to go. So, she was seen expressing how super ticked off she was. Yam Yam told private cams, that the fallout with Carolyn is going to be bad. Carolyn kept yelling at Carson and Yam Yam, "This is all bullsh#%t. I didn't expect this from you two." Carolyn told the private cams, "I just can't be ok with this. I just need some time." Danny told the private cams,...

Following this week’s elimination of Danny Massa, the final six contestants of “Survivor 44” have been named, and four of them are women: Carolyn Wiger, Heidi Lagares-Greenblatt, Jaime Lynn Ruiz and Lauren Harpe. The other two remaining players are Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho and Carson Garrett, aka Carolyn’s fellow “three amigos” from the original Tika tribe. So will a woman win “Survivor 44”?
Since the new era of CBS’s reality TV show began with the Covid-delayed 41st season, two of the three winners have been female (Erika Casupanan in “Survivor 41” and Maryanne Oketch in “Survivor 42”), bucking the usual trend of men receiving the $1 million check. To date, 17 seasons of “Survivor” were won by women, compared to a whopping 26 cycles dominated by men. Last year, Mike Gabler was the champion of “Survivor 43,” the only...

The question at the end of last week's Tribal Council was how Carolyn would react to Frannie getting voted out by her allies behind her back. The answer at the top of this episode is an unambiguous "not well!"
Back at camp, Carolyn reacts pretty much as Yam Yam and Carson feared she would, feeling loudly betrayed and unsure whether she can continue trusting her Tika alliance members. We've seen this kind of reaction on Survivor before, and it never bodes well. Countless players throughout the seasons have doomed their own games by allowing an indirect betrayal at Tribal to drive a wedge between them and their allies. For a few moments there, it looked like Carolyn was following down along that same path.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Survivor Season 44 Episode 11, “I’m Not Worthy.”] The three remaining members of the Tika tribe had the chance to become the majority voters in Survivor Season 44’s 11th episode, and they took it. But it required a major move from Carolyn that was not made easily. The quirky character whom everyone has cast aside as beatable showed just how good her game has been all along in the Wednesday, May 10 episode, and it may spell trouble for her in the coming installments. The episode started out with an emotional breakdown from Carolyn, who realized she was kept out of the vote plan by her two Tika allies, Yam Yam and Carson, in the tribal council that sent Frannie to the jury. The deception angered Carolyn, and she made her displeasure clear in front of everyone back at the beach right after the vote. Yam Yam and Carson urged her not to take the ...

After Carson and Yam Yam left alliance-mate Carolyn out of the Frannie vote last week, the drug counselor from Minnesota did not take it lightly. There was yelling! And swearing! Maybe a few tears? We all know Carolyn can be an emotional player, but she’s also a smart one. Will this little blip dismantle the Tika alliance, the strongest trio currently in the game? Vito Corleone surely...

In the game of Survivor, managing one’s own threat level should be extremely high on a player’s to-do list, but that’s the one thing Frannie Marin lost sight of. After winning two crucial immunity challenges, she just couldn’t help herself when an overnight taco fiesta at the Sanctuary, the season’s biggest reward thus far, was up for grabs. She gunned for the glory, firmly instating her challenge beast status and choosing to take Carolyn, Heidi and Lauren on the reward. Unfortunately for her, that left Jaime,...

Hey, "Survivor" fans. Tonight, April 26, 2023, another new episode of Survivor season 44 did indeed hit the air, and another unlucky contestant got voted off at the end. Tonight's new episode kicked off with Danny talking to the private cams about the last tribal council meeting, which sent Brandon Cottom packing. Danny said, "Everything went exactly as planned. It was a good feeling. The game plan was to weaken Ratu to even things out. It worked perfectly." Lauren ,who was working with Brandon, told the private cams, "I didn't see that vote coming. Our numbers are dwindling. We should've split the votes, but we didn't." Yam Yam told the private cams, "Everything's looking good for me now." He joked that anyone who writes his name down at tribal council is in danger.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Survivor Season 44 Episode 9, “Under the Wing of a Dragon.”] In Survivor Season 44 Episode 9’s tribal council, Yam Yam said they’re “back to who we are.” While he was talking about the Survivor 44 cast, a return to form is the best way to describe this season’s place in the show’s long history. Episode 9 marked a massive shift in the game for fan-favorite Carolyn. She’s been struggling to connect with the Va Va members, but she was treated to a long day of connection on the beach, sharing stories of her 13-year sobriety. Longtime Survivor fans must feel good, too, as Season 44 has delivered its fourth straight episode packed with player-driven scenes. The Covid-19 pandemic forced Survivor contestants to spend 14 days of would-be gameplay in quarantine, leaving just 26 days in the competition instead of the usual 39. The frequent plot twists (the hourglass game-changer and other new advantages) were...

It feels darkly appropriate given this week's episode title that we lost the dungeon master of the tribe. Kane seemed to have a good handle on the game this week, even as it was slipping away from him. After expressing what turned out to be unwarranted confidence last week that his Ratu alliance was in the driver's seat, a wounded and wiser Kane enters this week a lot more wary about the players around him — and with good reason. Ultimately, Kane isn't able to do enough to change his fate, but it's all pretty much out of his hands. Because this game is being completely controlled by an alliance called the Three Stooges. At least that's what Carson is calling the group of three former Tikas that includes him, Yam Yam, and Carolyn.

A “scout’s honor” in the game of Survivor means absolutely nothing, especially if the person making it (Danny) isn’t even a scout to begin with! And while Kane was smart enough to realize that the promise made to him was a smoke screen, his savvy street smarts just weren’t enough to save his life in the game.
On Wednesday’s episode, Jeff gives the Va Va tribe a chance to negotiate for some much needed rice. The deal: If four people agree to sit out of the immunity challenge, they’ll win a big ol’ vat of carbs for the entire group.

As of this writing, only nine players still remain on CBS’s reality TV show. Amazingly, they are evenly divided along original tribal lines. Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho, Carson Garrett and Carolyn Wiger hail from Tika, Kane Fritzler, Lauren Harpe and Jaime Lynn Ruiz represent Ratu, and Heidi Lagares-Greenblatt, Frannie Marin and Danny Massa come from Soka.
