The "Heathers" are back.
Bravo is set to bring the 1980s cult classic, "Heathers," to the small screen in a new scripted series.
The 1988 film "Heathers" starred Winona Ryder as Veronica, who was part of the most popular group of girls at Westerburg High School. Along with Veronica was the evil leader Heather Chandler (Kim Walker), the brainy bulimic Heather Duke (Shannen Doherty) and the gullible cheerleader Heather McNamara (Lisanne Falk).
The reboot version of "Heathers" will take place in the present day, picking up 20 years after the movie left off. Veronica moves back to Sherwood with her teenage daughter, who enters high school to deal with the next generation of mean girls, the “Ashleys,” daughters of the surviving “Heathers.”
Mark Rizzo ("The Man Date," "Zip") and Jenny Bicks ("The Big C," "Men In Trees") will executive produce the upcoming Bravo series. "Heathers" is a redevelopment of a project originally...

Selena Gomez movie in a Hot Mess?
With a rocking career in music and Justin Bieber as her boyfriend, Selena Gomez might not be a hot mess in real life, but that doesn’t mean she can’t play one on the big screen.
Gomez is in talks to star in Hot Mess, scripted by Jenni Ross. The film follows four girls who make, and then break, a list of rules designed to help them get the guys of their dreams. Along the way, they try to avoid becoming the hot messes they’re destined to be. According to Deadline, recent Vma winner Dave Meyers, who has directed music videos with some of the biggest names in the music industry, is in talks to direct the film.

Selena Gomez will star in Hot Mess for Endgame Entertainment. The film offers three more fantastic roles for young actresses: it's about four friends who do everything they can to avoid transforming into the "hot messes" they are destined to become. Directing is Dave Myers (The Hitcher) who is behind music videos for Pink, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and the "Firework" vid for Katy Perry. The script by Jenni Ross was on The Black List, the annual list of the best unproduced movie scripts.
Gomez will next be seen in The Muppets.

Girl problems? Endgame Entertainment is negotiations with actress Selena Gomez to star in the comedy “Hot Mess.” Director Dave Meyers is also in talks to helm the project. The film is about “four girlfriends make, and then break, a list of rules devised to get the guys of their dreams and discover their inner hot messes in the process.” Deadline also mentioned other young actresses are currently being considered for the other female roles. The script is written by Jenni Ross, which is on the 2010’s Black List screenplays. Endgame’s James D. Stern and Julie Goldstein are producing the project with Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Marisa Yeres. Gomez is best known for her role on the Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place.” She starred in this year’s romantic comedy “Monte Carlo” and will be seen in the upcoming “The Muppets.” Meyers is known for his work on several...

While she.s well known for her starring role in The Disney Channel.s The Wizards of Waverly Place, not to mention the headlines she makes as a celebrity (and the girlfriend of a certain Bieber), Selena Gomez is also working on a film career. Movies like Ramona and Beezus and Monte Carlo seem to cater more toward the audience she.s already built for herself with her TV projects, but this upcoming role sounds like it could be a bit more grown up. Could Selena Gomez be branching out? It.s hard to say. According to Deadline, Gomez is up for a part in Hot Mess, a film that.s based on a script which was written by Jenni Ross, and appeared on last year.s Black List. According to the description on the list, the film is about .four girlfriends make, and then break, a list of rules...

Selena Gomez is in talks to star in Jenni Ross's script Hot Mess, a blacklisted spec that was highly coveted by studios last year. The movie's about four young women who get into big trouble while attempting to avoid growing up into "hot messes," or something. I read the script a long time ago. It was okay. This is totally scintillating, right? Apparently other young actresses are getting tapped to co-star with Selena Gomez as we speak. I mean, write.
Selena Gomez gets a restraining order
Justin Bieber wants to have Selena's babies
Selena and Justin shared a hotel room
If I recall, the script is vaguely Easy A-esque... but does Gomez (who last appeared in Monte Carlo and next up in The Muppets) have the chops/likeability to carry it off like Emma Stone did? Thoughts?

Franklin Leonard’s “Black List” has become pretty infamous over the years. It’s his yearly compilation of all of the best scripts that are floating around Hollywood and not being produced. Often times, appearing on this list can be the difference between a script that keeps getting passed from hand to hand without really being read and a script that gets an actual look from a studio and starts to get some money behind it. Some of the movies that appeared on the 2010 list that are now in various states of development include Margin Call, Argo, Gangster Squad, and The Hunger Games, among others. Now there’s one more script to be added to the pile of Black List greenlights; Jenni Ross’s Hot Mess. Leonard’s description of Hot Mess is as follows, “Four girlfriends make, and then break, a list of rules devised to get the guys of their dreams and discover their inner...

Mickey minion Selena Gomez may keep a busy schedule acting, singing and babysitting dating Justin Bieber, but like any respectable woman, that still leaves her plenty of time to channel her inner emotional disaster.
The teen queen, who recently finished filming "The Muppets" movie, is in talks to star in female buddy comedy "Hot Mess," written by Jenni Ross.
The coming-of-age story follows the lives of four friends trying to sort out their romantic lives while avoiding what they believe are inevitable transitions into – you guessed it – hot messes.
The script, which earned a spot on the 2010 Black List, may soon have a director attached to it as well. Deadline reports that "The Hitcher" director Dave Meyers, best known for his music video work, including Jay-z's "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" and Missy Elliot's Grammy-winning "Lose Control," is in talks to direct.

New York -- United Artists has acquired rights to and will develop "The Heartbreakers," a girl-oriented project based on a popular young-adult novel, and will give it the new name of "Rules of Dating for Teenage Girls."
Jennifer Ross is in negotiations to write the script, with Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas attached to produce and Adelaide Scardino overseeing for the studio.
"Rules of Dating" is based on a book by journalist-turned-novelist Pamela Wells, who published her debut novel "The Heartbreakers" in fall 2007. She followed that up a year later with a second novel, "Crushes," that focused on many of the same characters.
"Rules of Dating" centers on four best friends and their on-again, off-again dalliances with boys. After several of the girls are dumped, they devise a set of rules they are sure will snag any man and prevent future breakups.
Those familiar with the project described it as a coming-of-age comedy with a girl-power streak.
