Well, this is embarrassing: Snp politician Angela Constance asks to start interview again on live TV
At least Angela Constance is not in charge of anything important; oh, hold on...
The Scottish cabinet secretary for education asked to start her interview on BBC Scotland's Sunday Politics again, without realising it was live.
A car crash interview from Angela Constance on #bbcsp and here's the Snp Msp's moment of impact. pic.twitter.com/4lIXbzoD7M

At the beginning of her interview with Gordon Brewer, Constance made the gaffe of calling 2012 "twenty thousand and twelve" before apologising and asking: "Are we able to do that again?"
Brewer agreed before dropping the bombshell that "we are live, by the way", and her instant reaction was priceless, before she composed herself, apologised and carried on with the interview.
If Constance was hoping everyone was sleeping off a Halloween hangover though, she wasn't so lucky as people took to Twitter to describe it as a "car...

Z-Machine announced today that production has begun on Before the End: Jim Morrison Comes of Age. With a focus on bringing the legend down to earth, the independent documentary feature follows the trajectory of Jim Morrison’s development, prior to his rock superstardom. Through interviews with family and friends, many of whom are speaking about Morrison for the first time, as well as never-before-seen home movies and photographs from his formative years, the viewer (or voyeur, as Morrison liked to say) will share in a clear-headed, open-minded exploration of James Douglas Morrison, human being, as opposed to Jim Morrison, rock god. Known [in]famously as the lead singer of The Doors, Morrison accomplished much in his brief life beyond music, including three self-published books of poetry and an experimental film. He received numerous accolades on his way to achieving fabled status, but over the last four decades, persistent rumors and myths have distorted the truth.

Author Ania Ahlborn is generating quite a bit of buzz on the literary horror scene, and we're pleased to present an excerpt from her latest novel, The Neighbors, which Thomas & Mercer released this week.
You may recognize Ahlborn's name as the author of Seed, which was recently optioned by Amazon Studios. She self-published that book, and fans drove it to the #1 horror spot on Amazon, keeping it there for over a month. No doubt The Neighbors, an insidiously entertaining tale of psychological suspense and mounting terror, will follow in its predecessor's footsteps and land at the top of the heap as well.
Synopsis:
At the intersection of Blue Velvet and Basic Instinct lies The Neighbors.
Andrew Morrison sacrificed everything—his childhood, his education, and the girl of his dreams—to look after his alcoholic mother. But enough is enough, and now he’s determined to get out and live his life.
