As an actor, musician, singer/songwriter, and DJ, Craig has been
involved in the arts for most of his life. Born in Greensboro, North
Carolina, he did his first play at the age of 11, playing the title
role in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown." He continued to do theatre
throughout high school while also playing in various rock bands. After
graduating from Western Guilford HS in 1979, Craig continued writing
and performing music in clubs along with friend and fellow actor
Lee Spencer in their band The
Return.
In 1988, Craig moved to Washington, DC where he got involved in the
abundant theatre community, performing at such notable venues as Arena
Stage and The Studio Theatre, where he also studied under Studio
Theatre Acting Conservatory founder Joy Zinoman. At Arena Stage, Craig
appeared in "You Can't Take It With You" performing alongside DC stage
veteran
Robert Prosky. He also acted in
many industrials, commercials, and in 1994 started a second career as a
professional DJ at weddings and corporate events. He was awarded the
1996 DC One-Act Festival Acting Award for his portrayal of a dimwitted
brother in the dysfunctional-family comedy "Sweet Dreams, Miss
America."
Craig moved to Los Angeles in 2005 where he continues to perform and
DJ.
