A long time ago, in a movie theater not too far away… a series of films came out that captured the imagination of movie fans everywhere. The Star Wars franchise has been a giant among the most loved movies ever made. The original trilogy has been held up as sacred. When it came time for the Prequels, original fans were a little let down, but young fans embraced them. They have finally aged into their place in Star Wars canon.
When Lucasfilm was sold to Disney for a staggering $4.5 billion, fans knew it was only a matter of time before we finally got some films with some of our favorite characters returning to the big screen. The first two divided audiences, but the third may have been the one that really made fans wonder what was happening behind the scenes. There didn’t seem to be a plan for the new films,...

Out of all the Star Wars shows, "Ahsoka" has definitely been the most lore-focused by far. Throughout the season, it leans heavily on elements from the "Rebels" and "Clone Wars" animated shows to move the plot along and underscore the emotional stakes. In the season finale, we get another glimpse of a particularly strange and nebulous piece of the Star Wars canon: the Mortis gods.
All through the season, the courteous yet villainous Baylan Skoll (played by the late Ray Stevenson), a former Jedi himself, has suggested he's become disillusioned with the very idea of the Jedi and the Sith. Instead, he hints that he's on his own quest to find something else, perhaps something even more powerful. In the finale, as the rest of the characters square off in clear good vs. evil battles, Skoll has left his own apprentice and set out on a search. We finally see...

This Star Wars: Ahsoka article contains spoilers.
Throughout this season of Ahsoka, the planet Peridea and the galaxy it lies in have maintained an intriguing air of mystery. When the Eye of Sion and its crew finally arrive in episode 6 “Far, Far, Away,” it’s revealed that the planet was once the ancient home of the Nightsisters – witchy Force-wielders that Lady Morgan Elsbeth descends from. Baylan Skoll also mentions the childrens stories of Peridea that he grew up hearing in the Jedi Temple to his apprentice Shin Hati before he leaves her in search of a greater power on the planet.
What this greater power is isn’t fully revealed until the final moments of the Ahsoka season finale “The Jedi, The Witch, and The Warlord,” when we see Baylan standing on the stone hand of a massive sculpture, suggesting that the Nightsisters weren’t the only Force-wielders that called...

This Star Wars: Ahsoka article contains spoilers.
Despite losing to Grand Admiral Thrawn and getting stranded on Peridia for the foreseeable future, Ahsoka and Sabine still somehow manage to end things on a high note. They’ve both learned from each other and grown throughout the season, and now they’re truly ready to believe in themselves and trust in each other. It’s really no surprise that Sabine is finally able to use the Force once she’s strengthened her connection with Ahsoka, who makes a master’s promise to always have her padawan’s back, no matter what.
It’s why despite everything that’s happened, Ahsoka and Sabine seem very much at peace with their grim circumstances at the end of the season. “Ezra is where he needs to be, and so are we,” Ahsoka tells her apprentice as they walk off to join their new friends,...

This article contains spoilers for the "Ahsoka" season 1 finale, "The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord."
Even with Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) escaping to Dathomir, the first season of "Ahsoka" ends on a hopeful note for our heroes. While Ezra (Eman Esfandi) returns home and reunites with Hera (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) hang back in Peridea to help the Noti community feel safe after a patch of chaos. As the two converse and understand one another better, Ahsoka notices a mysterious white owl sitting on a rock and watches the bird with some curiosity. This bird is a Convor named Morai, with personal ties to Ahsoka and the Mortis Gods, whose statues are shown towards the end of the episode.
In order to understand the connection between this bird and those humongous statues, we must first understand what a Convor signifies. Convorees,...

This post contains spoilers for the season finale of "Ahsoka," "The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord."
A lot transpires in the season 1 finale of "Ahsoka," which ends with a long-awaited homecoming, mingled with the ominous promise of a frightening masterplan in motion. Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) find a way to strengthen their bond while making sure that Ezra (Eman Esfandi) finally returns home, although they're unable to stop Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) from escaping to Dathomir. There are questions that still need answering, including the reason why Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson) abandoned his padawan and chose to walk away in the heat of battle, only to appear standing on top of a pair of statues that resemble the Argonath from "The Lord of the Rings." While Baylan's motivations were shrouded in mystery from the get-go, the appearance of these statues makes matters more convoluted.

This article contains spoilers for "Star Wars: Ahsoka" episode 8 — "The Jedi, The Witch, and the Warlord."
Well, the season finale of "Ahsoka" is somehow already here, and it definitely left us wanting more. That's not to say that episode 8, "The Jedi, The Witch and The Warlord," was lackluster or anticlimactic, necessarily. There was plenty of action and intrigue as Ahsoka teamed up with Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren on the planet Peridea to try and prevent Thrawn and his army of death troopers from escaping out of exile. Now that Thrawn has finally been introduced into live-action after appearing in "Star Wars Rebels" and multiple novels by Timothy Zahn, he was finally given the spotlight he truly deserves. Then, the credits rolled.
As the last few minutes of the finale came to pass, multiple threads popped up that were all incredibly compelling, suggesting that there is much more to come.

Ahsoka finally revealed how Mortis ties into the Disney+ series and Baylan Skoll during its final episode.
Ray Stevenson's Baylan Skoll turned out to be one of the most important, yet complex characters in the Ahsoka series on Disney+.
When he first appeared on-screen in Episode 1 alongside his apprentice, Shin Hati, they seemed like any other Force-sensitive mercenaries.

This article contains spoilers for "Star Wars: Ahsoka" episode 8 — "The Jedi, The Witch, and the Warlord." As Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) makes his final preparations to return to his own galaxy, Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson), Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi), and Huyang (David Tennant) do their best to stop him. Thrawn, being a far superior tactician, is able to place obstacle after obstacle in their way so that they cannot impede his return. Those obstacles start in the form of Thrawn's Night Troopers, reanimated back from the dead by the magick of the Great Mothers of Dathomir, and culminate in Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto), who has been imbued with the power of Dathomir and given the fabled blade of Talzin.

There will be spoilers for "Star Wars: Ahsoka" Part 5 - Shadow Warrior
Trying to understand the ways of the Force is always a tricky prospect. Though some might be under the false impression that "Star Wars" creator George Lucas somehow demystified the Force with the addition of midi-chlorians to the canon, Lucas and his Padawan and protege Dave Filoni have done so many things to deepen and expand the breadth of the Force and its mysticism. The latest episode of the Disney+ series "Ahsoka" continues the evolution of the Force, and in many ways it ties back to one of the most bizarre arcs from "Star Wars: The Clone Wars."

This article contains spoilers for "Star Wars: Ahsoka" episode 5 — "Shadow Warrior."After last week's bombshell reveal of Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), we were all left scratching our heads wondering exactly what happened to Ahsoka (Rosario Dawson) and how things would play out now that reinforcements in the form of Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Carson Teva (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) had arrived. The first half of this episode is split into two, with Ahsoka in a netherworld of the Force, grappling with her inner conflicts in the form of her old master as she struggles to survive in one part. In the other, we see Hera, Carson, and the rest desperately seeking any sign of Sabine and Ahsoka. It's young Jacen Syndulla (Evan Whitten) who realizes that she's waging a battle somewhere in the water, reliving moments of her life during the Clone Wars and the Siege of Mandalore, all...

This Star Wars: Ahsoka article contains spoilers.
There never really seemed to be a question of if Ahsoka would bring back Anakin Skywalker – Hayden Christensen’s casting in the series hasn’t exactly been kept a secret – but rather when in the timeline we would see him given Darth Vader’s death in Return of the Jedi. We finally got our answer in “Fallen Jedi,” which sees Ahsoka seemingly fall to her death during her duel with Baylan Skoll, but the end of the episode reveals that Ahsoka has actually somehow been transported back to the World Between Worlds, this time greeted by her former master.
But as emotional as this reunion outside of time and space may be (hearing Anakin call Ahsoka “snips” again definitely had me tearing up a bit), there are some who believe that there’s more than just some Force ghost or time travel shenanigans going on here.
