What the Funk: A Love Letter to the POC Community started as a behind the scenes look of the Pacific Northwest's first all people of color burlesque festival and the history being made by its existence. The film has grown into an emotional and educational journey of what representation really means.
Burlesque has and will always be political, there is always a story to be told, and it is Kia's hope that this documentary inspires radical love and radical change.
