Theresa Velazquez is Producer and Radio TV Host of award winning Pageant Reporter Hollywood Connections (segment) from 2017 to the present. She is returning to doing more film projects. Theresa is currently Dr. World Puerto Rico 2022, and has participated in pageants for many years meeting celebrities and politicians (e.i. Secretary to President of Mexico, Governor's wife of Puerto Rico, Mayor of Puerto Rico, Mayor of New York, Raul Velasco of "Siempre en Domingo," Lic Jacobo Zabludovski of "24 Horas," and others). Philanthropy is very important in her life, and continues to work with nonprofits, churches, and the community. Theresa attended St. Anselm's Parochial School from first to eight grades in New York where she would sing, dance, act on stage during the Christmas and Easter Productions. This is where her love of the arts started. Talent is singing dancing, modeling, dramatic arts, and a published author. Theresa is Puerto Rican American, on her father's side, Spanish (Velazquez), and her grandmother's side, French (Bettencourt). Teaching ballroom dance for more than 30 years at Arthur Murray's, Fred Astaire's, and Independent schools. Owner of Velazquez Productions for film, dance, and music (record label). Enjoys participating in film and music festivals, photography, and currently produces the Pageant Reporter Hollywood Connections Radio & TV Show with her friend, Dawn Reese. Hollywood Connections has 4 nominations for Best TV Show/Series and Radio Show, and her 3 Best Reporter awards. Theresa has interviewed TV/ Video Emmy and Telly winners including Film Festival winners, such as Cannes World Festival. She has interviewed Award Winning A1 celebrities, such as Barry Williams of "Brady Bunch"; Donny Most of "Happy Days"; Bo Derek of movie "10"; Robert Davi of the "Profiler"; Earl Christy of the "N.Y. Jets" Pro Football Player; Forbes Riley who has sold more than $2 billion in products via infomercials (HSN & QVS); Randall Rutledge writer of film award winning "Kung Fu Shoes" and "West Bound 18 Wheeler,"; Stephen Campbell, Director of Photography of "The Walking Dead"; Gary Metivier, anchorman, actor, author, Emmys, Tellys winner, and finalist at Cannes World Festival, Best Actor at Christian Film Festival 2022; Joe Gallagher, CEO of Atlas Star Records with (Recording Academy/Grammys); celebrities that include pageant queens, and many more. Theresa was nominated and winner of "Best Reporter Worldwide," and "Best Reporter Hollywood Connections" at the Indie Wise Film & Music Convention red carpet event in September 2019 alongside Vivica Fox (A list most bankable actresses); Vivica was presented with a "Lifetime Achievement" award. Vivica Fox was the leading lady in the alien movie "Independence Day," with leading man, Will Smith. Theresa is also the winner of "Best Reporter Hollywood Connections" in 2019 at the Hacking Hollywood Jallywood Festival with the Jalbert Brothers. Jalbert Brothers Productions also have A list actors to play roles in their film projects. She also received awards for her video music projects "Omnipresent Lord," in 2020, and "God He Is" in 2021 at the International Christian Film & Music Festival red carpet Oscar style event. During the pandemic this event was watched virtually. Theresa holds a Doctorates in Management and Leadership from the University of Phoenix graduating in 2011. She is a published author of a dissertation for her doctorates on research study titled "Health Issues and the Benefits of DanceSport." She has an Associates in Radio & Television (AA) from Delta College taking workshops with her teacher, Marsha Posner Williams, co producer, producer, and script supervisor, known for "Golden Girls." Marsha has won 11 Primetime Emmy Awards, 30 additional wins, and 88 nominations. She also took workshops with her teacher, Rick Page, cinematographer, director, and camera operator, known for "Brooklyn Nine Nine." Rick has won 2 Emmys, 16 additional wins, and 129 nominations. Theresa also attended classes at John Robert Powers Modeling and Acting School Lifetime member, and The Academy of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, California. Her teachers at the Academy of Performing Arts were Greg Mullavey, actor known for "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman," and Tippie Hendren, actress known for "The Birds." Theresa studied film, commercials, stage, monologues, and improvisations at the Academy of Performing Arts from 1982 to 1984.
