Christopher John McBrien grew up in Port Elgin, Ontario, Canada. Chris appeared in numerous stage productions across Ontario in the 1990's, finishing out the decade starring in Shaw Television's "Insult to Injury" with radio personality Brian Longmire. He was a featured member of the improvisational cast of Shaw TV's "Half Wits TV" which ran from 2000-2001.
Chris started in the podcast world in 2012 with "Dear Mr. Fantasy" which ran for 5 seasons and was nominated for a 2014 FSWA Award, as well as landing Podcast Award nominations in 2014 and 2016.
In July of 2016, Chris launched the podcast, "Pop Goes Your World". The show was nominated for a Podcast Award in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The podcast has been featured in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, the Christian Science Monitor and AARP's The Girlfriend where it has been named one of the "10 Podcasts Women Should Tune Into Now" in 2018 and again in 2022.
Chris has made guest appearances on numerous podcasts since 2012 and continues to be a committed advocate for the podcast community.
