No man is an island. As much as we hate to admit it, sometimes, no one gets anywhere in life without someone believing in them. The same is true for Hollywood. It takes the stars aligning (pun intended) for any success story for anyone to really make it, and especially to escape the shadow of how they may be initially perceived.
There may be no better example of that than Mr. Channing Tatum. He told GQ in 2009, “I got crazy lucky. Like, sometimes I think I won the lottery or something. I don’t really know how I got here. But I just keep moving forward, and it just keeps getting better and better.” Had the stars aligned differently, he could have been just an exotic dancer and never entered the public consciousness. Or just a model. Or just played a jock. Or just played generic romantic leads. Or just played generic action roles.

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are grieving the loss of their daughter, Isla Marie Dillard.
The couple announced their baby girl didn’t make it following an ultrasound that discovered she no longer had a heartbeat.
Her pregnancy had not been announced publicly, but they were due to welcome their first daughter in August.
As the couple continues to grieve their loss, Jill has been sharing photos from the funeral service and the images she and Derick took with Isla before she was laid to rest.
However, not everyone is on board with the sharing. Some have suggested she quit posting the photos and mourn privately with her family.
That isn’t stopping Jill, though.

After one of its most polarizing seasons yet, The Real Housewives of Potomac is embracing change as filming for Season 9 gets underway.
As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Robyn Dixon and Candiace Dillard are departing, leaving fans with questions about who will be returning.
According to TV Deets, the cast has been finalized, and filming is set to start this month.
The outlet states that Nneka Ihim failed to secure a contract and will become one-and-done.
As a new cast member, Ihim was caught up in many arguments throughout her short stint on the Bravo reality series.
However, it doesn’t sound like producers are interested in bringing her back, perhaps because the show will attempt to bring in new women without connections to the other cast members.

Having spent years in development limbo as films were announced only to vanish back into the ether, we are finally getting a screen version of William Gibson's iconic cyberpunk tome Neuromancer via a series in the works at Apple TV+. And the show's creative team is plucking an Apple TV veteran to star, as Masters Of The Air's Callum Turner is aboard in the lead role.
Gibson's book, which was first published in 1984, went on to receive a Hugo Award, a Nebula Award, and the Philip K. Dick Award. The novel follows Henry Case (the role Turner is taking), a washed-up hacker hired for one last job by a shady ex-military officer, which brings him in contact with a powerful artificial intelligence.
Gibson crafted two follow-ups, Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive, which means there's material for future seasons if needed, or a potential anthology series. Graham Roland...

Forty years ago, author William Gibson brought the world a cyberpunk novel called Neuromancer – and an adaptation of that story has been trudging its way through development hell pretty much ever since. Versions of a feature film adaptation have passed through the hands of director like music video maker Chris Cunningham, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and The Blob‘s Chuck Russell, Torque‘s Joseph Kahn, Cube‘s Vincenzo Natali, and Deadpool‘s Tim Miller. While these projects were being put together (and while they fell apart), Neuromancer fans always wondered who would end up playing the lead character, Henry Dorsett Case. Hayden Christensen was rumored to be the top contender when Kahn was going to direct (with Liv Tyler rumored to co-star). Liam Neeson and Mark Wahlberg were said to be in the running for Natali’s version, although it wasn’t said who they might be playing.

Dark Winds creator Graham Roland and J.D. Dillard (The Twilight Zone) created the series for television. The series, a co-production between Skydance Television and Anonymous Content, will see Roland serve as showrunner with Dillard on board to direct the pilot.
Apple says Neuromancer revolves around a “damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes, aiming to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.”

Jill Duggar Dillard shocked the world when she released a tell-all book that actually did spill the tea on her infamous family. Duggar family followers were skeptical that Dillard would share actual secrets about her family after her sister, Jinger Vuolo, released her own memoir months earlier. Vuolo’s memoir bypassed the more salacious aspects of her upbringing. Now, it looks like another Duggar family member is interested in penning a book. Jim Bob Duggar’s niece, Amy Duggar King, hinted at a special project in a recent TikTok, and it looks like it might be a book.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s adult daughters have opted to toss out the family’s strict, modest dress rules. Instead of wearing strictly skirts, they have decided to wear pants. Jinger Vuolo was the first to make the move, but Jill Dillard revealed in her new book, Counting the Cost, that she was the family member iced out for her decision to wear pants. There was apparently a reason for that. Jinger allegedly didn’t receive the same treatment because she first cleared her plan with her parents.
Jill Dillard said her parents criticized her for wearing pants
The tension between Jim Bob Duggar and the Dillard family ramped up in 2017 when the couple opted to stop filming for the family’s show, Counting On. While the couple has always said they decided to step away from filming, not family life, the two seemed to intersect for the Duggars.

Jill Duggar Dillard’s life hasn’t been easy, despite that it was certainly made to look that way during her time on 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On. She eventually grew up to marry Derick Dillard, whom she tied the knot with in 2014. And shortly after that, Duggar and Dillard realized that things under Jim Bob Duggar’s rule weren’t as peachy as they seemed.
Duggar recently released a memoir about her experience in the spotlight as a member of the Duggar family, where she made some startling revelations — including how her brother, Josh Duggar, acted back in 2015 when he learned his abuse toward his sisters had been made public.

Murmurings of a family feud between Jill Dillard and her famous family began surfacing several years ago. While it was clear a serious rift had formed between Jill and her parents following her departure from Counting On, no one was sure how her 18 siblings fit into the fight. In her new book, Counting the Cost, Jill Dillard revealed that Jim Bob Duggar had pitted several of her siblings against her, sending them to try and talk sense into her while. At home, he was allegedly telling them she would cause a lawsuit against each of them.

Kyle Richards is certainly fueling the rumors that she and country music singer Morgan Wade are an item.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star has been spending a lot of time with Wade since news of her separation from longtime husband Mauricio Umansky broke in July, and now the duo has debuted as a couple … at least in a music video.
In the just released video for Wade’s “Fall In Love With Me,” Richard plays a neighbor that becomes much, much more. The two women share flirtatious looks, love notes, a tub and several near kisses.
“I’ve done several music videos and every time there’s someone in it with me, they always assume we’re dating or something’s going on. If you get on the internet, you see people who are obsessed with us being friends and why we’re friends,” Wade explained in a behind-the-scenes Instagram post last week.

The Duggar family might have spent decades sharing their lives on TV, but there was a lot the family kept secret. The 2019 raid on Josh Duggar’s car lot, which eventually led to his arrest and conviction on child pornography charges, was one of those big secrets. In the Amazon docuseries, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, two fringe family members revealed the lies they were told about the raid. Derick Dillard said his brother-in-law denied everything. Deanna Duggar said her brother, Jim Bob Duggar, insisted that federal agents were interested in an “ex-con” who worked for the family. The same defense was used at Josh’s trial.
Derick Dillard said Josh Duggar denied all knowledge of a raid
Derick Dillard and his wife, Jill Dillard, are entirely estranged from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. The duo has limited relationships with the rest of the Duggar kids, too, it would seem.

The Duggar family spent over a decade on TLC, sharing a wholesome image of a supersized family. That image started to crumble in 2015. A bombshell report revealed that Josh Duggar had molested four of his sisters and another girl as a teen. Josh is now in federal prison, serving a decade-long sentence for possessing child pornography. The family’s image has further deteriorated with the release of the Amazon docuseries Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. In the docuseries, Jill Dillard, one of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s children, speaks out. Longtime followers were particularly interested in hearing Jill Dillard’s take on an infamous Megyn Kelly interview she gave after the news of sexual abuse inside the home broke. Jill’s husband, Derick Dillard, called the interview a “suicide mission.”

Dillard is in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, reportedly recovering from several injuries, including multiple pelvis fractures, left metatarsal fractures, grade three liver laceration, internal bleeding and collapsed lungs.
On 27 March, Adams filed a lawsuit to the Superior Court of New Jersey, suing her apartment’s management company for negligence.

Wrangling eight reality TV stars is no easy task, especially when you’re not a native English speaker. But Thepsiri Thapthimthong, aka Pepsi, did just that for the third season of “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” which is now airing on Peacock.
Pepsi, the butler/concierge at the Village Aye resort in Thailand, catered to each of these demanding divas’ needs, from killing bugs in their room to fulfilling outrageous orders. Before each of the women arrived in Phuket, Pepsi FaceTimed with them individually to prepare them for the trip.

“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” Jennifer Shah and her legal woes are the talk of the town — even thousands of miles away in Thailand.
Filming on “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” started in mid-July 2022 — two days after Shah plead guilty in federal court to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud related to an alleged telemarketing scheme. It was a total change from the not-guilty plea she entered in court two months prior — and the innocence she professed throughout Season 3 of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.”
Shah wasn’t invited to Thailand (nor could she travel given her ongoing case), but her “Rhoslc” castmate and staunch supporter Heather Gay made the trip. And several housewives couldn’t wait to hear the latest from Gay, who was with Shah right until the moment she entered the courthouse.

Selena Gomez knew she wanted to craft an original song to complement her Apple TV+ documentary “My Mind & Me,” opting to share her journals with a close-knit group of collaborators to bring the song to life. “We didn’t even have a name for the documentary…. the song is definitely where everything came from,” Gomez remarked. Squadrons of F4U Corsair aircraft swarming the sky in perfect formation, bullets dancing past and through them, explosions and crashes galore: J.D. Dillard’s “Devotion” is a strikingly attractive war film. Although making war look this pretty may undermine the whole “war is hell” vibe that most movies go for, “Devotion” has a more romantic notion of its central conflict. Dillard paints the Korean War as the backdrop for heroic deeds and masculine bonding, never mind the complexities of the geopolitical stage.
Never mind a lot of complexity, actually. As a war story, it’s oddly rah-rah for the contemporary cinematic landscape. The Korean War was a conflict that, as far as “Devotion” is concerned, had to be fought and had nothing to debate. Indeed, the aviators at the center of “Devotion” were mostly flyboys from World War II who finished training too late to see action in the so-called “Big Show,...

The shot that nearly broke them, the pointlessness of auditions, the gift of final cut — the directors of some of this year’s most powerful movies got together and got real about their craft. In December, Jd Dillard (Devotion), Todd Field (Tár), Alejandro González Iñárritu (Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths), Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), Sarah Polley (Women Talking) and Gina Prince-Bythewood (The Woman King) convened for THR‘s annual Director Roundtable.
What’s the first thing you think about when you’re deciding whether to take on a new movie?
Gina Prince-bythewood With all of us, there’s probably a hundred movies we would like to do, but it’s “have to”: When I read it, it is an undeniable connection that I have to go on this journey. I have to put these stories into the world.

From Christina Jackson’s perspective, acting chose her — not the other way around. “I was always very animated, and my parents thought I [might become] a lawyer,” recalls Jackson, 35, of her formative years in Plainfield, New Jersey. The vocation she would make her career as an adult first presented itself when Jackson was in seventh grade. “There wasn’t a lot available — like, I wasn’t taking karate classes, I wasn’t doing ballet,” she says of the moment a teacher in her middle school suggested she join the drama club.
The connection was immediate. “I love reading, I love storytelling — I love turning the page and being transported back in time or to another world,” says Jackson. Discovering a talent for performing led her to an arts-focused high school, where she majored in drama. “It wasn’t a game anymore. This was real work.
