Melissa Lee grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. She spent her childhood
studying dance and performing in musicals. At the age of 17, she was
accepted to and began her theatre training at North Carolina School of
the Arts Conservatory. After leaving school, she worked as a model for
a year in New York before beginning her acting career. She has also
studied with Wynn Handman, Howard Fine, and at the Groundlings School
in Los Angeles - where she has appeared in sketch shows. In 2007, she
took a break from acting to finish her college degree at The New
School.
Attended North Carolina School of the Arts in the undergraduate program
as a Theatre Major - but left during her second year and moved to New
York to pursue work.
Her father was a paramedic, her mother in real estate.
Currently resides in New York. (2009).
She is a trained dancer.
As a child, she loved classic movies. She wanted to be Katharine
Hepburn or Rosalind Russell.
