Charles Knegtel was born on 14 August 1926 in Duffel, Flanders, Belgium. He is known for De Goude Gondel (1956). He died on 20 October 1978 in Duffel, Flanders, Belgium.
In 1955 he joined for some time a sextet directed by Ivon Debie. Parallel to his activity as an instrumentalist from 1953 to 1956 he leaves an important mark as conductor of the stable orchestra of the Ronnex record company which includes Freddy Sunder, Nelly Wysbeck, Johnny Ray and others.
