An estate in L.A.’s Northridge neighborhood once owned by Richard Pryor — and the site where the late comedian famously set himself on fire in 1980 — has hit the market.
Known as Hacienda de los Suenos, the gated, walled property is currently owned by one-time pro football player Rashard Mendenhall, who became a TV writer on Ballers post-nfl. According to Mansion Global, Mendenhall purchased the spread, located in the Sherwood Forest enclave of Northridge, for $2.5 million in 2017; he’s now set his sale price at $4.236 million, an homage to the total rushing yards he had in his career of 4,236.
“I’m a fan of Richard Pryor,” Mendenhall told Mansion Global. “He’s iconic, and I feel a special connection to him because we’re both from Illinois — I’m from Skokie, and he’s from Peoria. He’s a man of such magnitude that when I saw the property, I thought,...

Blooded is a faux documentary styled thriller in the vein of The Blair Witch Project, Atrocious and others. This title was released exclusively in the United Kingdom with first time feature filmmaker Edward Boase at the helm. Blooded covers fox hunting in England, which is still one part tradition and another part controversy. The silly scripted interviews break up much of the tension in the reenacted central story line. And, sadly, this film is not even brave enough to pick a side in the controversy.
Five friends head up to the Isle of Mull to get away from it all. Lucas (Nick Ashdon, Neil McDermott), the protagonist, is a fox hunter and an advocate for this sport. He has his eye on Liv (Cicely Tennant, Isabella Calthorpe) for marriage, but he also has some hounds nipping at his heels. The local anti-hunting league has...

And so it came to pass that in October 2008 that the end of the road was in sight for the Tenth Doctor. The edict came from the man himself, David Tennant, speaking via a video link (and inexplicably flanked by two grim-faced reapers of death) at an awards ceremony. Yes, he'd stick around for a clutch of one-off specials but after that he'd be bidding adieu. And so, countless Tennant girly fans wept into their Tenth Doctor action figures. TVs were thrown out of windows. Riots broke out. Well, I exaggerate, but the feeling at the awards megillah was so full of disappointment that you could almost sense that some rogue fan would go up to Tennant and take his award away from him.
Don't forget, by 2008, Tennant was regarded by a good number of fans as one of the most popular Doctors ever, winning Best Doctor polls and earning numerous accolades for his portrayal.

The storyline saw Ronnie Mitchell switch her dead son James for Kat and Alfie Moon's newborn child Tommy. McDermott - Ryan Malloy in the BBC soap - admitted last month that he would not be watching the drama unfold on New Year's Eve, due to his wife's pregnancy at the time. "We didn't watch it because Michelle was a few days overdue when that was going on," Holy Soap quotes him as saying. "At the end of the day, if something is going to upset you don't watch it." However, he added that he believed the reaction - which (more)...

EastEnders legends Janine Butcher and Stacey Slater are returning to the soap for a special episode, the BBC revealed today. In a coup for the Walford show, Charlie Brooks and Lacey Turner have agreed to reprise their roles after both recently finished work on significant movie projects. While Brooks has just completed filming for Tim Burton's 'twisted' new film version of Mary Poppins, in which she takes the lead role, Turner recently shot her last scene for the much-anticipated new movie adaptation of Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra, which will see her play the complex Egyptian queen. With Ryan Malloy (Neil McDermott) still on the Square and enjoying a new relationship with Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons), Stacey and Janine's bitter rivalry over the barman looks likely to re-emerge in spectacular circumstances. Neil McDermott has suggested that his EastEnders alter ego Ryan Malloy will return to his "bad boy" image. Speaking to Holy Soap, the 30-year-old actor revealed that he hopes producers rediscover the character's darker side in future plots. He stated: "It's been really interesting for me to play a bad boy character who is developing and changing into a much more responsible person who's still always capable of possibly doing something a bit dodgy, if pushed to extremes," before adding: "And I'm sure we'll explore that again in the future hopefully." McDermott also opined that Ryan's (more)...

Eastenders star Neil McDermott has revealed that he will not be watching the soap's New Year cot death storyline, as it is due to coincide with the birth of his own child. The 30-year-old actor - whose character Ryan Malloy was central to the Christmas Day episode that saw Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) flee Albert Square - stated that he simply wouldn't be able to watch the tragic plot while waiting to become a father. He told the News of the World: "My family always watches EastEnders at Christmas, it's a family tradition, so I am very proud to be involved in it - and so are they. "But I won't be watching, considering my baby is due on New Year's Day and the baby storyline goes out on New Year's Eve. I don't think my wife would be too keen to be watching over this period." He added: "I've...

Stacey Branning bows out of EastEnders after six years on Christmas Day and these pictures show the first glimpse of the drama in store in her final episode. In last night's edition of the Walford soap, viewers saw Stacey's nemesis Janine Malloy (Charlie Brooks) discover that she killed Archie Mitchell, giving her some powerful ammunition in her ongoing war with the new mum. With Janine now having a recorded confession from Stacey (Lacey Turner) in her possession, it seems as if she has everything she needs to get rid of the Albert Square favourite and destroy her blossoming relationship with Ryan (Neil McDermott). As Christmas Day dawns (more)...

If you haven't already done so, click here to read the main part of our chat with Lacey, in which she talks about Stacey's relationship with Ryan and the character's departure. EastEnders star Neil McDermott has admitted that he was "freaked out" by the timing of his wife's pregnancy. The actor, who plays Ryan Malloy in the BBC One soap, revealed that he discovered Michelle was expecting the same day he filmed scenes showing Stacey Branning giving birth to his character's daughter Lily. EastEnders star Neil McDermott has suggested that his character Ryan Malloy is becoming a better match for Stacey Branning as time goes on. In the build-up to the soap's Christmas Day episode, Ryan is currently caught up in a bitter love triangle with Stacey (Lacey Turner) and his twisted wife Janine (Charlie Brooks). Speaking in an interview with Digital Spy, McDermott confessed that Ryan and Janine have become less compatible in recent weeks, pushing the barman to consider a future with Stacey and their baby daughter Lily instead. Discussing Ryan's storyline, McDermott explained: "He's changed a lot since we first saw him - he was a bit of a bad boy when he first came into the Square and a bit of a loose cannon. "But after spending time with Whitney and taking on some responsibility there, he's grown up a lot - he's got (more)...
