La plataforma Atresplayer ha comenzado el rodaje de su nueva serie musical, “Mariliendre”, que cuenta con la producción de Javier Calvo y Javier Ambrossi.
“Mariliendre” sigue a Meri Román, que era una reina de la noche gay de Madrid, pero de eso han pasado ya más de 10 años. Ahora, a sus 35, es una diva destronada que vive atormentada por su pasado y aburrida en su mediocre presente. Tras la muerte de su padre, Meri reconecta con su séquito de amigos gays, rememorando su pasado y los temazos musicales que marcaron aquella época, mientras intenta definir su caótica vida y su identidad.

Madrid — Marta Hazas, who has leapt to fame as the absolute lead of “Velvet Collection” – Movistar + first original series which it sold to Netflix – will now star opposite series creator Javier Veiga in “Pequeñas Coincidencias,” a more unusual romantic comedy which marks several new milestones in Spain’s fast evolving high-end production industry.
Produced by Atresmedia Studios, Onza Entertainment and MedioLimón, “Pequeñas Coincidencias” (“Little Coincidences”) is Amazon Prime Video’s first fiction series in Spain. Amazon Prime Video has rights to Spain and Latin America. Otherwise, Onza will sell the world, with Onza’s Gonzalo Sagardia bringing one of the highest-profile of new productions from Spain onto the market at Mipcom.
Onza is in discussions for a U.S. sale on “Pequeñas coincidencias,” Sagardia said.
Spanish free-to-air rights are held by broadcast network Atresmedia, Atresmedia Studios’ parent company.

Aguila Roja is coming to the big screen after three successful years of crime fighting on Spanish TV. Its set in the 17th century revolving around a masked hero fighting against the corrupt and wrong. A new spin on Zorro but the production aesthetic has much in common with the likes of modern efforts like Spartacus. Águila Roja, La Película is released 22nd April 2011.
