Usually, serial killers in slasher horror movies are introduced with the vaguest of hints at their backstory or how they magically appear behind their victims without making a sound. The motivation behind their urge to kill people is shrouded in mystery because it’s that confusion that fuels the fear of being chased by one of these fictional maniacs. Only after they become pop culture icons are their modus operandi and the source of their power dissected via sequels, prequels, remakes, and reboots. In a Violent Nature takes a different approach in its attempt to mythologize Johnny by stripping away the mystique around his actions and constantly following him as he slowly approaches his victims and kills them. Is that interesting, or is it too simple to be enjoyable? Let’s find out.

Timing is everything. On April 29, 2024, Den of Geek published an article breaking down the mysteries of the supposed “lost” second pilot of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. We put forth that this long rumored version of the first episode, “Day of the Dumpster,” glimpsed in convention footage, didn’t exist as most fans assumed. That, in fact, the aired version was mostly made of that supposedly “lost footage.” End of the discussion, right?
Just under a week later, Adrian Carr, director of “Day of the Dumpster” and other early episodes of Power Rangers, released his original edit of that installment that revealed some of our analysis was correct but others were blown out of the water by new revelations. For instance, the earthquake scene when the Rangers teleport for the first time? Different in this version, contrary to what we suspected.
(For those wondering, Carr confirmed his upload had nothing to do with our earlier article.

Gore Verbinski would seem to have hit a snag in his big-budget blockbuster career after his Lone Ranger movie for Disney became a notoriously bloated flop. However, he was able to return with a smaller directorial effort after that, with the suspense film A Cure for Wellness. It has been eight years since the release of A Cure for Wellness, and Verbinski returns from his hiatus to helm an action-adventure film with the humorous title Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die. The movie sports an impressive cast, including Sam Rockwell, Michael Peña, Haley Lu Richardson, Zazie Beetz and Juno Temple. The film has just started production on location in South Africa.
The description of the movie’s plot, according to Deadline, reads, “The film, written by Matthew Robinson (Love & Monsters), centers on a man from the future (Rockwell) who arrives at a diner in Los Angeles where he must recruit...

The Walker, Texas Ranger reboot is back in the saddle, and the white hats are bringing the action and the emotion. In Walker Season 4, premiering Wednesday, April 3 on The CW, Jared Padalecki’s Cordell Walker “is probably put in the biggest danger he’s ever been in, and that, of course, causes a ripple effect with his loved ones,” says showrunner Anna Fricke. As teased at the end of last year, our hero (right) is about to deal with the reemergence of “The Jackal,” a serial killer he and Capt. Larry James (Coby Bell) failed to catch years ago. The case nearly consumed James—we see the destruction it caused in flashback tonight—so the captain’s wife, Kelly (Kearran Giovanni), begs Cordy and newly minted Ranger Trey (Jeff Pierre) to keep their investigation a secret. Cordy isn’t the only Walker hiding things. Brother Liam (Keegan Allen) is still helping his niece,...

Ben Affleck wants to make sure you know that his new movie as a director, Air, is set in 1984. The film opens with a blizzard of images and sounds from that time, ranging from Ronald Reagan’s reelection to the “Where’s the beef?” Wendy’s commercials, to just about any other specific visual cue you can think of from that year. Once that’s over, however, the needle drops pick up the slack almost to a fault: We hear the “you’re motoring” line from Night Ranger’s “Sister Christian” in a shot of a car in motion. Meanwhile Big Country’s “In A Big Country” blares over another shot of a car driving through the wilds of North Carolina.
It would get annoying—and occasionally does—if Air wasn’t such an entertaining film overall. The story of how a ragtag bunch of Nike execs wooed Michael Jordan...

The Lone Ranger introduced Clayton Moore in the titular role. Despite the fact that the character hid his identity behind a mask made out of his dead brother’s clothing, the actor still became known for the role. Nevertheless, The Lone Ranger Season 3 went ahead without Moore for the year and replaced him with John Hart for very specific reasoning that the actor later opened up about.

Moore opened The Lone Ranger at the beginning of its television run that started in 1949 with “Enter the Lone Ranger.” As the sole surviving Texas Ranger after a lethal ambush, the titular character must ensure that his foes still believe him to be dead. Actor Clayton Moore became an iconic figure in television history thanks to his portrayal in The Lone Ranger. His adventures in this Western drew audiences in for its five-season run that expanded beyond its medium. However, the image of the Lone Ranger’s costume is especially what continues to stick in the mind of its longtime fans. Moore once explained that he designed the costume himself.

The Lone Ranger is one of the most iconic Western television shows ever to hit the air. However, it certainly didn’t receive the same amount of love when it came to certain audiences. The Lone Rangers only received three awards nominations over the course of its existence, starting in 1949 until its end after season 5 in 1957. The show never earned a single award, but it’ll always have the following nominations under its belt.
The plot follows a former Texas Ranger known as the Lone Ranger, played by Clayton Moore. After his brother and fellow lawmen die in an ambush, a Native American man he once saved named Tonto (Jay Silverheels) returns the favor. Wearing a piece of his brother’s clothing as a mask, the Lone Ranger fights outlaws along with Tonto across the Old West.
