Danil Pervukhin
- Camera and Electrical Department
- Director
- Cinematographer
Danil Pervukhin left his home in Kharkiv, Ukraine to study film and television in 2019. The transition from Ukraine to the United States was a culture shock that Danil had to adapt to quickly. Both the environment and work he was now pursuing had to be conquered in this foreign country if he wanted to flourish. He had no prior experience working in film at home, so he had to learn everything from scratch and fast.
Glory To The Nation, Danil's directorial debut, is heavily inspired by the devastating events happening on the territory of his home country. Being an international student away from home during the escalation of the military action, from time to time made him feel like he had betrayed his family. That is why he decided to start working on Glory To The Nation, a film that would communicate what abandoning feels like for Danil and millions of Ukrainians.
But Danil didn't start with directing. In Ukraine, he studied electrical engineering and himself using that skill set in film in the US. The lighting department is where Danil shines. Eager to learn, he tries to get experience in multiple roles while actively working in the lighting and grip department.
Danil has graduated with a BFA in film and television from the Savannah College of Art and Design. He is working hard to get recognition and exposure in the film industry and hopes to continue telling and sharing his stories with the rest of the world.
Danil co-owns a production company called PYX Studios LLC that offers gear rentals as well as crew for any type of projects in the film industry.
