Roberto Furuta

Roberto Furuta is currently (2022) the production desk for Tonari Animation. The role of the production desk in the Japanese animation pipeline is to manage projects, planning their schedules and their staff. Beside that he also fulfills the roles of background artist and Japanese-English interpreter in some occasions.
He is a Japanese-Brazilian who has lived half of his life in each country and grew up watching a lot of anime, leading him to studying drawing and painting up until this day. After graduating from high-school, Roberto decided to follow a career in STEM acquiring two degrees: one in math education and another in physics. During the university years he participated in a lot of projects working with teams, developing abilities that are crucial for his current role.
In 2020 he decided to invest more time into developing his art skills and his interest in working in the art industry grew more and more. In 2021 he joined Tonari Animation initially as an interpreter, but a few months later he got invited to start producing the animation projects.
