Former Entertainment One TV CEO John Morayniss has reunited with several of his former colleagues to launch Blink Studios, a new independent studio launched with the backing of Endeavor Content. Morayniss will serve as CEO of the company, which will be based in Toronto with an office in Los Angeles.
Morayniss is forming Blink with fellow eOne alums Patrice Theroux (who will serve as executive vice chair), Nelson Kuo-Lee (who will serve as CFO) and Jeff Lynas (who will serve as COO).

Endeavor Content is lining up more non-English language premium dramas to expand on Damien Chazelle’s Netflix series The Eddy after a “phenomenal” Mipcom.
The company, which is run by Co-Presidents Chris Rice and Graham Taylor, is currently working on the eight-part musical series, which is being shot in French, English and Arabic. Rice told Deadline that it is now planning more non-English projects. “We couldn’t be more excited about the new partnerships we have been building in Europe and the rest of the world on premium non-English language shows – this is an expansion from our Damien Chazelle series The Eddy,” he said.
Rice said that Endeavor Content was buoyed by last week’s international TV sales event Mipcom after debuting its “best slate yet”. He said that it had a “great response from international networks” to its catalogue of shows including AMC’s John Le Carre spy thriller...

Of all the swings that Endeavor is taking to diversify its business, the launch of Endeavor Content may be the biggest.
The division was established last year to develop, package and distribute TV and film projects that hail from clients inside the Endeavor/Wme orbit, as well as those from outside entities. Endeavor Content’s involvement can range from offering advisory services for Wme and Img clients on options for getting a greenlight, to putting up seed money to allow creative partners the time to develop material before shopping it on the open market.
Endeavor Content, headed by Wme veterans Chris Rice and Graham Taylor, is not a production company, per se. The company’s role is to serve as the matchmaker between creatives and the networks, studios or financiers needed to get a production before the cameras. That is in keeping with the long-standing practice of large talent agencies...

Channel 4 international drama chief Simon Maxwell is leaving the U.K. broadcaster to set up a new scripted TV shingle backed by Endeavor Content. The new firm does not yet have a name, but there’s no immediate rush as Maxwell will not leave Channel 4 until the end of the year.
Endeavor Content has previously backed Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, Scott Budnick’s Good Films and Ben Howard’s Third Coast Content, but the Maxwell deal is the first of its kind for the U.K.
“It’s hard to imagine a more exciting time to be in the scripted television business, with the climate favoring the kind of brave, authored global storytelling that I’ve been privileged enough to work on at Channel 4,” said Maxwell.
“With this new company, we aim to apply a similarly adventurous ethos to our work, prioritizing talent relationships and providing a...

Endeavor Content has bolstered its ranks with several hires and promotions across its film and TV groups. At the same time, the company announced that international film sales company Bloom — acquired by Endeavor Content in August, 2017 — will now be fully integrated into the global sales business, a move that should shake up the sales agent business a bit.
Bloom’s Alex Walton has been named Evp International Film Sales and Distribution for Endeavor Content. Dan Guando, who handled film development for Bloom, has been named Endeavor Content Svp Film Development & Production, and he’ll work alongside London-based Negeen Yazdi.
