If you got get past Lady Gaga's distracting outfits at the MTV Music Video Awards, you would have noticed that her red carpet entourage was a group of men and women in military uniform.
On 'The Rachel Maddow Show' (Weeknights, 9Pm Et on MSNBC), Maddow interviewed one of those women, Katherine Miller, a lesbian who had recently resigned from West Point because she believed serving under "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" compromised her integrity.
"How did you end up going to the VMAs with Lady Gaga?" Maddow wondered.
Miller said that Gaga had invited a group of soldiers -- who had either been discharged or had resigned because of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" -- to one of her concerts.
After the concert, Miller and the other ex-soldiers "had the opportunity to speak with (Gaga) ... we told her our story, and she was really touched by that,...

Seriously, he was at the Performers Peer Group Reception for the Emmy Awards, but I couldn't stop singing "One of these things is not like the others." This morning Ryan Murphy told listeners of Ryan Seacrest's radio program that Britney Spears will be appearing in the episode of Glee that uses her music, which makes more sense than her appearing in a episode that uses Michael Jackson's music, which Ryan Murphy says he doesn't think he can license, as much as he wants to. So the Super Bowl episode will...
