Dori DePree has served as Executive Producer and as a Casting Director, including casting films for Academy Award Winner Dustin Lance Black and Golden Globe Nominee Marc Forster. In 2017, Dori was officially appointed by the Governor of The State of Michigan to serve on the Michigan Film Office Advisory Council. She is an Executive Producer at 'By Degrees Entertainment' with several projects in development.
In 2006, Dori co-founded TicTock Studios and was involved in the initial push for the Michigan film tax incentives. She created a film crew training program aimed at establishing a crew base for Michigan's growing film industry. The program, a joint venture between TicTock Studios, MichiganWorks!, and a number of colleges across the state, was conceived to also help displaced workers find jobs in the film industry. The training program received national attention, including coverage in the Wall Street Journal and on CNN.
In addition, Dori has executive produced two award-winning independent films, and is a Co-Founder of the Waterfront Film Festival organization, which has been bringing unique film experiences, education and opportunities to Michigan since 1999.
