Aïcha Morin-Baldé is a French-Canadian Guinean director and screenwriter based in Montréal (QC). As a filmmaker, her mixed heritage allows her to create authentic works that explore modern African-Canadian identity and the métisse experience in Canada as much as in Africa. She believes in creating stories that illustrate the complexities of the human experience. Her projects have touched many subjects, such as systemic racism, misogynoir, immigration, beauty standards, consent and finding self-worth as a black queer woman.
